Every time i try to place this toy anywhere in war-within areas, it is instantly destroyed. I’ve tried multiple times and it just disappears as soon as I place it. 
I just tried this on a fairly random spot on my DH alt on Isle of Dorn (specifically on top of the remains of the Violet Citadel’s spire at the Dalaran crash site) and did not see this issue.
Where exactly were you trying to drop it? I believe the area around the weekly quest givers near the inn in Dornogal is protected, as I have seen some of my other toys I’ve tried to drop there get destroyed. Presumably the AH, crafting order, and delve NPCs have similar zones.
