After the success classic will have, any of you would like them to finish Hyjal since the zone was almost done back then, would be interesting what they had in mind with this zone. Such a huge zone, looked like there was 1 or 2 dungeon/raid entrance too. I know the no change rule, but this could be an alternative instead of a transition to a BC server.
Also, what did you think this zone was supposed to be back then ? Questing 55-60 ? Demon zone ?

You’ll see BC before new content. That’s where the money is for Blizzard.
Considering where Hyjal is located it likely would have been a high-level leveling zone since it’s placed at the end of the Felwood->Winterspring pathway. If you listened to any of John Staats interviews a couple months back the zone was cut because they felt like the game had too much content at ship.
I guess in a theoretical Classic+ scenario it could exist as a new 55-60 leveling zone (since said levels lack quests) with a new raid I suppose. Maybe a PvP objective like the EPL towers, but implemented smarter so people actually do it.
I would definitely like Hyal to be added to Classic. More generally, I’d like to see Classic progress yet retain level cap at 60. Over time, add in all of the zones, raids, dungeons that were initially planned for Vanilla but never made it in.
Couldn’t agree more with this – would be very enticing to see, down the line, Blizzard’s Classic team expand on their original baby and introduce us to new content the right way – keeping the level cap the way it is and introducing more incentives to raid higher difficulties.

There was an entrance to Onyxia in there back in the day—well, I didn’t zone into the actual raid, only into Hyjal…so I don’t know if it was Ony for sure…but it looked exactly like it.
