Hydrocore to tidalcore conversion?

Hydrocores are worthless as of 8.1. We now have to farm a new mat in order to make any crafted gear that is pertinent to the new content release. What are we supposed to do with hydrocores, as we can’t AH them, can’t craft current gear with them, and they are just sitting in the bank gathering dust?

Are there any plans to make a use for these in the near future? I am finding it slightly frustrating and unecessary to have countless hydrocores from all the mythics I ran during season 1 and not be able to convert them. Can we get a recipe to turn 5 or even 10 hydrocores into tidalcores?

Just seems like timegating for timegating’s sake. It’s not a good system, it’s not fun and rewarding, and it’s not even remotely engaging to have to farm tidalcores all over again just to craft gear for 8.1.

They’re still used for the champion equipment, hence being able to turn a tidalcore into a hydrocore.

Most of the Tidalcore Recipes are learned through discovery by crafting Hydrocore Recipes as well.

They are far from useless. They had to add Tidalcores otherwise people who stockpiled Hydrocores would have an upper hand to people who came back in 8.1 or started in 8.1. Giving people an unfair advantage is not really that nice. And as such, a Hydrocore -> Tidalcore transmute would give that an advantage as well.

cool. So now instead of not farming Hydrocore for months on end, I can not farm Tidalcore for months on end.
What they should do is make it so we cant delete them either so they sit there taking up bag space

How is it an unfair advantage when they’ve been playing the game the whole time that the other person hasn’t? That’s a perfectly fair advantage.
