Instead of introducing a new race can we get hybrids? Rexxar was half ogre. Garona was half dranei half orc who had a child with a human.
Most of us have been playing so long we have our own kids. Let us pick 2 current races and decide from a check box which race we wish more to resemble and be able to choose which active and passive racials we get from the two different races. One or the other for each.
Additionally if you go this route make it so faction doesn’t matter during the picking of the 2 races.
Let faction be selectable or let the faction be decided off the resemblance factor. If anyone has constructive feedback I would honestly love to hear it. Thoughts and if you think would be good or not would be appreciate.

I just don’t see this working, for the simple reason that halflings (half-breeds canonically) in WoW are just basically one of the parents in appearance. Half-Elves: Elven in appearance, Half-Orc: 100% Orc (even when mixed with something like a Draenei), half Ogre: still mostly looks like Orc when mixed with an Orc.
Med’an is the only hybrid that really looks too different from the parent races, but that’s just cause he’s several species crossings removed from all of them being a: Orc, Draenei, human hybrid… and even being 1/3rd Orc his two biggest defining traits are a slimmer human build with mildly Orc characteristics like longer ears and greenish yellow skin.
“Halflings” are Hobbits with the Tolkien serials filed off, just say hybrid races.

You mean you want a half race, a halfling would be a different race all together.
They could make some kind of halfling race, though in other games they’re not much more then short elves.

Yeah, if the hybrids were all cooler like Med’an I’d be on board but people will just make different sorts of elves.

That would be a pretty cool way to introduce the cross faction thing… esp if they added a new start zone that played into that a bit.
Hybrids I wanna see…
Draenei/human, because it’d be cool to see the child turn into the MOST UNBEARABLY UPTIGHT PALADIN EVER. They’d make the 1st Edition AD&D paladins look like Billy Madison in comparison! …and I’d be there for them every step of the judgemental and cranky way.
Gnome/goblin, since there are already couples like that in the WoW canon.
I feel like the child of a gnome/vulpera goblin/vulpera pairing might be cute. And ultra-crafty!
could you imagine how awesome a dwarf/gnome or dwarf/goblin would be, regardless of dwarven lineage Imagine the innovations. Or a dwarf/vulpera hybrid, if dwarves still have that racial that allows them to find treasure more easily. You’d have a treasure finder and scavenger. The perfect companion to any adventuring party! unless you’re like helper-outer good guys and don’t necessarily care about finding treasure

I also would really like to see half-human half-orcs and half-ogres, like there were in the RPG. I’ll totally accept people’s RP of half-human half-orcs, but like… I want canon support for it because a few of those people were really cool and I think the only “canon support” was during the time the RPG was canon.
