There’s some strange mindset around vanilla that the meme specs for the hybrid classes are somehow more acceptable than the meme specs for any other class. You’ll often see raids make a spot for just one spriest, or just one ele sham, or just one ret paladin. Would these same raids make a spot for just one demo lock, or just one arms warrior?
The cold reality of vanilla is that each class only has one raid spec, even warriors now tank and dps with what is essentially the same DW spec. However, and maybe this issue is more severe for horde, there are more and more meme spec, particularly enh shamans, attempting to piggy back into Naxx raids by being a “group deal” with someone playing a real raid spec. Frankly, I’m sick of it. I don’t know why these specific classes feel that their meme specs hold more value than bringing the sub rogue or the BM hunter. By the numbers, any raid is probably better off making room for the guy still playing a 2h Fury Slam build over a boomkin.
If you want to raid Naxx, then play your raid spec. If you want to play a different role in raid, then reroll. If I see one more enh shaman piggy backed on a dps warrior or a healer as a “group recruitment” deal for Naxx raiding, then I’m going to vomit flames of pure hatred.
I’m deebly gonzered about the raid compositions and the specs of players I dont know, in guilds I am not in, on servers I dont even play on. Because I am a Good Person™. And part of being a Good Person™ is informing total strangers that I am a Good Person™.
But feel free to argue semantics, as if going Combat Daggers is tantamount to going Assassination for raid night.
If you laugh a lot in a post, then it must mean what you’re saying is true and correct instead of wrong and filled with cope.
The idea that a boomkin brings more value as a meme spec than letting a dps warrior come as Arms is ludicrous. Every single class in WoW has a meme spec, yet only a handful are considered for raid, and for no decent reason. Any meme spec attempting to enter a Naxx raid is nothing short of entitled.
Why should a warrior be relegated to Fury dps and only allowed to be Arms when they PvP alone, yet a shaman feels perfectly correct joining a raid as enh? It’s ridiculous.
Let’s assume I’m the world’s most mediocre warrior in Classic. Even the world’s most mediocre warrior in Classic will still outperform the world’s absolute best boomkin in Classic. So it’s safe to assume that zero warriors are being benched to make room for boomkins in Classic.
Also, let’s not leave out priests, 3 viable trees, and ele shaman have the highest caster top end depending on boss fight length. They aren’t memes. You’re just stuck in the past and a bad kid
Then why are u complaining? Is the fact that someone somewhere is playing a meme spec and having fun impacting u in anyway? Horde don’t even got rets so its not even like one poached ur bre or something lmao.
Shadow is a meme as raids don’t bring more than a couple warlocks. The debuff isn’t important. Holy is progression heals for throughput, Disc is farm heals to PI the casters. Priest come to raid to heal. The elemental shaman top end is the biggest meme; literally nobody cares how much dps they can do for 30s, and they never will.
Maybe it’ll come true if you say it 10 more times in 10 more posts. It’s genuinely sad to see this much instant cope. The only serviceable role for a boomkin is as a 5 man multibox in BGs.
