While I could see people unhappy if it’s BM only, I get why it would. You got Hati in Legion by being BM. Doesn’t really make sense that anyone could get him afterwards.

It’s probably the only spirit beasts we’ll get this expansion lol

I am saying allowing a hunter to mount a pet is opening of the floodgates. I am curious, if they expand pet mounting, will they still keep it to BM or not. I dont expect to see a Surv hunter on a devilsaur but maybe on a wolf.

PTR is for testing, it may be that Hati is a test subject in this regard. It does require an item you buy though so it’s not like BM will be mounting up on Hati whenever they desire. Honestly I doubt any of those toys on the PTR make it live

I’ve already said my farewells to Hati. Somehow making Hati a mount doesn’t feel right? I don’t know maybe if I do the quest I’ll feel differently but I was upset about losing him. It feels like re-opening old wounds.

Hati isn’t just going to be a mount though, He’s been tagged as exotic and will join as a regular pet, and that’s assuming the whole mount thing makes it live

Definite no from me to let every spec use exotics. That’s the entire point of BM.

However letting any spec ride their pets that they have access to sounds reasonable.

I understand that, doesn’t mean something should be stripped from a spec and given to others. The game as it is has been over pruned, stuff taken from us and either coming back as something in the talent tree or just flat removed. MM lost chimera shot to BM, Demo locks lost meta to DH and I’d be willing to bet there’s other instances of this happening. In my opinion it isn’t good for the game

Maybe instead we could try asking for non exotic versions of these pets or to even have the exotic tag removed from them, or have them be tameable with the tome of dinomancy, any of those options is better than removing an icon feature of a spec
