Also, just so everyone’s on the same page, the idea of “double dipping” was resurrected from a 2009 blue note change that was eventually reverted because it accidentally corrected a Devilsaur scaling issue.
It’s not real. It’s as real as ghosts are. It’s just devs overcompensating for bad game design via Boon.
Let me explain it a bit clearly since you think you’re so smart (You’re a warlock lol)
To start, pets get spell scaling, right? From stats, that’s NEW! Cool, SoD added a new pet mechanic on top of the ranks of pet abilities. Now. Let me space this out in as CLEAR of a way as possible. We didn’t even TALK about how pet types get bonus damage (Spoiler alert, a Thunderhawk/wyvern get 1.07 dmg bonus on EVERYTHING)
So, we start with supposedly, they get scaling from the hunters stats (I don’t believe they did that too but let’s do that, that’s a tbc thing)
That’s damage whatever amount increase. Then, right, they get a spell amount, so now we’re at numbers like: Unknown amount from hunter stats And Unknown amount to pet ability damage
Which, by the way, scales from the talent, and rune, talent gives 20%, rune gives 30% which, is a double dip! Because the talent+rune is two damage amounts, layered together which feed into the before pet damage, because remember, abilities now also scale from pet power of some kind.
So! That is now: Pet stats+ hunter percentage, THEN the lion buff which is 10% to pet, 20% to hunter, that’s a double dip, to pet plus the 50% damage increase of rune/talent combo which THEN get multiplied by the pet family! So that’s a 1.07 multiplication after the fact! This doesn’t go into the assumption that the 50% from rune/talent is a blanket dmg buff. Want to be realistic, sis? It’s a triple or quintuple dip, but hey, you should know right, you play plenty of SoD hunter and have played hunter since vanilla correct?
You’re conflating damage coefficients with multiplicative scaling. That’s like saying Warr’s 80 rage 20% bonus is a 200% damage boost. It’s just false.
You’ve described viable scaling, congrats.
BTW, it’s not new. Locks have always had it. Hunters just did not.
Copium, we have all lived it. You’re basically telling us we are all crap players cause we can’t handle a broken hunter. What class can u beat hunter with? I can with druid if im stealthed and he is not bis from bfd.
That’s what that means, sis… The numbers I gave you were under the assumption they don’t layer together properly in a coefficient… It breaks down the numbers fully which, effectively is still a double or triple dip. Your “It doesn’t double dip!” Is just false… Your argument has been disingenuous and conflated and you’re just here to be a nuisance pretending you have a superior intellect.
