Hunters should not consistently be Top damage every single phase

What? I feel like playing melee hunter is so easy compared to mage. On my hunter I just tunnel and don’t parry haste or get tail swiped. Ranged is constantly on the move.

you’re mixing melee hunter with range hunter…

You can still play TSA with melee hunter and its a dps gain to the raid when you are in the melee stack groups. In the same way that you can have a rogue run Improved Expore Armor at the cost of their own dps, but for a raid dps gain, same for having a mage running winterschill instead of all mages being Fire FFB and so on.

Its not really worth the dps loss on the hunter.

Your suggesting investing 31 talent points for 150 AP and no other benefit for the hunter himself, and 150 ap to 4 other melee. Its not worth it for the raid.

If someone is trying to parse it will help them (not the hunter), but overall raid dps would be worse.

Have discussed this in hunter discord as well as with (one of the top speed kill guilds out there was #1 till last week)

Historically? This is era. Every boss in all of these new level up raids has been easier for ranged, and we already know the fights at 60.

So it seems they got a little balancing thank you blizzard… I doubt it’ll be enough though. Likely need more nerfs.

They should be top dps because they offer no utility, not even a kick.

Traps are a utility, aren’t they? Frost trap is nice in ST.

Hunters (especially melee) are stupid easy and strong across every activity in the game, they deserve to be middling DPS.

Let’s hope they take it further.

Every group ive had calls to ban it from use in raid/grp because their precious eyes and it obfuscating mechanics…apparently.

Nobody gives two turds about this, in any thread, ever.
A class with just one DPS spec and Heal or Tank options still shouldn’t have it’s damage doubled by hunters just cause hunters can only DPS. This is pure copium to put out and hope you don’t get nerfed.

Who cares? you can down all the raid with green parses.

Taking trap launcher as a melee hunter is like a 30% dps loss.

Actually it should. A class that has the most restrictive kit, no stuns, no interrupts, no self healing, no dispels, no defensive cds, no offensive cds, should have a higher damage output than classes with those things. Either that, or hunters should be given massive utility buffs.

Poor hunters… They can only AOE farm current content pulling hundreds of mobs at a time also Top damage meters and be the best solo class in the game.

Almost surprised as a paladin you didn’t shift gears and start pissing and moaning about enhance.

I don’t mind them being top dps just give them an actual rotation.

Melee hunters are lierally only good at single target DPS and that’s it.

They are terrible in PvP with no gap closer, no defensive, no self-sustain, and terrible CC due to no trap launcher.
They are terrible at AoE because they literally have none and no, melee hunters don’t take Carve because it’s literal dog.
They are worse at soloing stuff than practically every other classes because they are melee with no self-sustain and just running on fumes alone with no potential to kite anything, only being better than rogue and warrior due to the fact they have a pet acting as an health bar extension.

You mean ranged hunters abusing pathing? Something literally ANY ranged casters can do.
You’re complaint is about melee hunters, Ranged hunters ain’t at the top of the DPS food chain.
