There should be a game feature where your pet will abandon you to die in the middle of a fight if you are not nice to it. And if you do survive the fight on your own it is there to jump you and take you down immediately afterward.

Ummm no. Most places in the world have the age of consent between 16 and 20. The countries that do not are theocratic crap-holes and are backwards.
The global “average” age of consent is 16, meaning there are a lot that are lower than that to keep the average at around 16. I can name a few non-craphole “first world” countries that are under 16.
