This rune has not been working for about 7 days now.

Your pet’s attack has a 33% chance to reset Flanking Strike except it never resets.
Edit - This thread should exist as a bug report and if possible please move this thread to the appropriate debugging team.
Basically somehow eventually when your pet dies, or perhaps you swap runes; somewhere along the way eventually Flanking Strike will stop resetting at all.
It does reset, it’s just that a 2.0 attack speed isn’t nearly fast enough to reset it with 33% chance. If you have Broken Tooth, I’m sure you’d see more resets, but short of getting a 1.0 attack speed pet, just have to live with them hating hunters in SOD.

I haven’t tried it in the last week, but I have used it this phase and it worked fine. I was using a cat with 2.0 attack speed and it would sometimes reset multiple times in a row, or like once every 20 seconds. It’s rng slot machine, something I hate about what the turned melee hunter in to, but my fingers hurt from crying on forums for the last 2 seasons.
I fixed the bug by re-stabling my pet.
The big thing here is that you need to go Beast Mastery to get the most out of it with pet talents, but Beast Mastery is just SO FAR behind going survival/Marksman.
BM was never good in classic, pet’s simply do not do enough damage to warrant them over Lone Wolf. I’m honestly not sure if the devs are actually paying attention to the popularity of runes because they would fix the ones that aren’t being used, but I don’t think there is anyone working on it from the lack of attention it’s getting.
One last reply. Could I get a mod to move this the appropriate bug report sector?
I edited the original post as this was merely a bug and was fixed by re-stabling my pet back and forth. Thus I wish for a Moderator to move this thread to the correct forum/team
I’m having this problem even with the 50% chance and with a 1.0 attack speed pet. it only resets one time…is there an internal CD or something?
I have noticed the same thing. I tamed a 1.0 attack speed bat from ZG, also I am BM for the pet attack speed increase and still my Flanking Strike never reset. Pls fix this bug.
it’s not a bug, it resets on your pet BASIC attacks (claw/bite/etc) not AUTOattacks
attack speed doesn’t matter at all, only the cooldown and focus cost on it’s basic attacks
