Warrior is the highest skillcap in Classic.
Its Thursday night, you should save this for Sunday.
On topic, when people talk about skill caps in Classic or any other version of WoW its in regard to PVP. As for warrior, the skill floor is medium low, and the skill cap is medium high. Its got more potential than Shadow, but less potential for greatness than a well played Druid. The skill floor for a hunter is very low, like almost subterranean, and allows for any noob to look great on the class, but the skill cap is very high.
Skill cap = the potential for expansion of your personal skill set of a class, the absolute ceiling for a classes ability to do things.
Skill floor = the level where a class functions correctly, or the skill level the player needs to be decent.
Warrior has a higher skill floor than a Hunter, but the Hunter has a much higher skill cap.
Does this make sense?
Do warriors even range weave though?
depends, warrior vs. mage, the mage has the advantage, less ways they can screw up then a warrior, who if he’s frozen or sheeped is essentially a goner. you have to definitely get the charge, and time your pummel/intimidating shout to prevent a sheep/kite, if you get cc’d it’s over
True, but that has nothing to do with skill cap of a class, that’s rock paper scissors 1v1 match up of classes and specs.
I’m assuming you are talking pvp since pve doesn’t have a skill cap so much as a gear and consume cap lol. In classic pvp it is very very hard to do well in 1v1 as a warrior, HOWEVER, it does not follow from that that warrior is the highest skill cap class. When looking at skill cap you have to compare the performance difference of the worst and best members of a class and imo mages, rogues, and hunters all have a larger skill cap than warrior. Which is to say if you compare a good and a bad rogue there will be a larger and more immediately noticeable difference than a good and bad warrior.
Melee weaving hunter skill cap is through the roof, do it bad and tank your parses, do it good and do heaps more damage then normal rotation.
Managing the melee weaves, fluctuating agro, your pet, haste effects and how they effect your rotation, trinkets with fd swap to other trinkets and etc
well its def. not frost mage frosto, you can be certain of that
