More like 40-ubrs/lbrs except like 2 pieces, and 1 is nearly impossible (ring of law) due to its insanely low % to spawn the boss, and even lower % of dropping the item

Same with Shamans, mail really gets screwed in classic. Might end up wearing leather still instead of mail because of bad itemization

I haven’t checked mara loot. But I know SM, ZF, ST all have nothing for hunters.

don’t be afraid to downgrade, armor is only relevant in PVP and even then your main concern isn’t physical classes in pvp as a hunter
Just remember that just because you can wear mail does not mean the only gear you should wear IS mail. At 60 you will many dps warriors a lot of leather and mail since its just better itemized for dps than the plate option out there. You wont see warriors wearing full plate dps gear till BWL and AQ40 and even then not all slots will have it.

ALL loot is hunter loot.
I think people forget that the armor class means nothing in vanilla. Warriors wear Leather/mail/plate. You know damn well a rogue would wear dps plate gear if they could equip plate.
I will wear anything with AGI but the pieces are far and few between. Can anyone link some pieces of AGI gear 40-50? No one said anything about prioritizing mail.

Good example from Molten Core are the Wristgaurds of Stability. Leather bracers with 24str on them. thats a wopping 48ap for warriors.

Now granted you wont fully fill every slot but dont disregard gear with Int/spirit on it because as a hunter you do have a mana bar so extra int can increase your sustain.

Yeah, gear in vanilla didn’t follow any rhyme or reason. Not everything was the same “cookie cutter” streamline itemization the way it has been in retail for years and years.
Yeah they most def should have been plate those are clearly warrior/pal bracers
The best way to look at gear is figure what stats your class want for the role your filling and go from there. Hunters its generally anythign with Agi, int, Ap combination. Great mail helm for hunters is one off rag that has a massive amount of int with a big AP secondary on it.
