Hunter were not good because dev went in every direction but never the right directly . Feel like unless warrior who ad no real direct and was purely good because most of it was not intended or happen with dev inten
Tier 2 give much more intel less hit make you work to get more hit from outside source. The proc rate on the expose weakness if u use a slow range weapon some time wont proc during a boss fight making the 8/8 tier 2 set completely useless.
Here what classic + should give too hunter . Gear with only 1 stat s on it . AGILITY just agility no weird pet buff or wierd mana saving bonus. Just give hunter agility that it .
Do that and hunter will be viable. If they do too much damage reduce the agility or ogmente if they do less damage. In the hunter class set give spell power and encourage you to arcane shot .
Dev didt know what they were doing and everything that was done can be redone after tier 2 .
Hunters are great in PVP, both in damage and utility. They’re even pretty tanky, when geared correctly. That means stats other than just agility.
Now you could complain about any number of batching related bugs and problems, and how their gear doesn’t scale so well after this tier, but I’m having a little trouble agreeing with your very general statement here.
i’m not the “No changes” person or something, but if they gonna do alterations then that must happen after naxx patch.
Every legacy expansion should be a copy of the strong and weak points of the original.
Hunter fix wasn’t only “put agi on my gear”, was the mana regen system with aspect of the viper, intellect=attack power, crit multipliers and other engaging mechanics.

Are hunters going to start using both of their swing timers now? I know tauren practically don’t even have a dead zone. Why not take a melee swing while everything else is on cooldown and your auto shot is still on cooldown?
If you think Hunter Tier2 sucks, wait until you get to Blizzard’s brain-child “WHAT HUNTERS WANT IS +30 SPELL DAMAGE TO MAX RANK SERPENT STING!!!” that is Tier 2.5
I’m genuinely curious if a +spell/arcane damage build using arcane shot and volley would give more dps scaling in the longer fights than the standard aimed shot builds of agility focused gear.
I wonder if anyone has done the numbers yet to find out.
