Hey, back in the day when I played in wrath and cata there was a website called femaledwarf. I know the creator stopped updating it, so my question is, is there another site like it? or does everyone just go to icyveins and mmochamp for their info… -_-
Wowhead/icyveins always both have great info and writers. Also trueshot lodge the hunter discord is fantastic!

Icy veins has been updated pretty well for Hunters. Azortharion does a great job at it, so if you only want guides, that one is basically good enough.

Femaledwarf was an old school hunter resource site that presented all hunter info like Icyveins does. I think it was run by a character called Zehara. Was an okay site.
IcyVeins is my go-to, followed by WoWHead.
Discord is a great resource, and if you can find the “Hunter discord” which was created and curated by the top hunters in the world, that’d be better than WoWHead by a ton.
Generally speaking the gurus on discord are the guide writers for wowhead.
I wouldnt put all my eggs in one basket. Take in info from all the sources and then make informed choices.
I remember FemaleDwarf. It’s like we have to download Zehara’s Excel spreadsheet / database to compute for how much DPS our gear has.
The equivalent spreadsheet is now on Raidbots. It simulates our gear to compute for our DPS. Raidbots is more accurate becoz it could simulate your DPS on different scenarios like AoE or Single Target- Patchwork style.
If I remember it right, Zehara’s database is good only for Single Target DPS. It made Marksman specs very popular becoz Zehara’s database is giving MM the highest DPS score. What it lacks is the DPS computation of AoE scenario. Imagine Icecrown Citadel’s Main Boss Arthas fight where there’s a lot of AoE, and Hunters going in there are playing MM. I switched to Survival specs (AoE - dominant) on Arthas fight allowing me to dominate and challenge FoTM DK on damage meters.
Yeah, for sure, Disc is just a better aggregate. WoWHead also makes my AV software lose its mind, and I’ve seen a lot of inaccuracies and inconsistencies on WoWHead over the years, compared to IcyVeins.
