I agree, but in a different context.
Give us special attack animations for bow/gun enchants. I don’t really want them to be glowing rave sticks, but having special animations due to an enchant, since we use proper enchants now and not scopes? That’d be real neat.
There’s already ranged weapons with unique animations. Let’s make it a bit more flexible.
Maybe lets keep the ask to weapon enchants on the weapon first, different animations aren’t even a thing and are way more intricate than just letting us use Illusions on bow/guns/crossbows.
It seems every time someone brings up this topic people wanna just add in extra nonsense like glowing ammo and different shots. Can we just get the illusions first? Even just Void edge and all the shadowlands and drangonflight illusions would be great and they are just mostly glow textures.

Instead of the bow, it’d be neat if they went on the arrow/bullet textures that get shot from our weapons. Imagine shooting crackling Mongoose bullets or Primal Air infused arrows.
Maybe it just goes on the bowstring for bows/crossbows and over the top of the barrel for guns? Weapons that already have magical looking stuff there can follow the same rules as other weapons that you can’t put the illusions on.
i like these ideas, but i also agree we need baseline of just getting the glowy stuff first before asking for anything fancy !
