Hunter, without question.

Nothing against Warlocks, they’re lots of fun…

but yeah, Hunter.

Warlock hands down.

I could never get into being a hunter. They don’t have anything special for animations and the majority of hunter mogs just plain suck.

It’s basically personal preference - both are great at soloing. I would have given the edge to hunter’s because I love the little mechanical bunny Gnomes get but he’s a terrible tanking pet anymore. It makes me as sad Gnome.

I play both. Both are fun to me. Demonology is pretty much BM on steroids since the felguard does all the damage it seems while leveling. Just depends on if you want more pet choices (hunter) and if you prefer cast animations as opposed to bow/gun animations

Looks like you already are a hunter. How’s it working out for you?
By the way, your transmog looks really nice on a void elf.

I quite like both classes, but neither have ever been my mains. I’d definitely say I favour hunters more than locks though. I think survival is pretty damn rad these days. Very unique, and a lot of variation in playstyle within that one spec. MM doesn’t really knock my socks off, but I think BM is cool as hell right now. The whole barbed shot bleed, sending the pet into a frenzy idea is an awesome concept and just feels really badass to me. Also Hati is back!

Warlocks though. I actually really don’t like affliction or destruction right now. The DoT playstyle just feels fiddly and tedious. And destruction just feels dull. I wish they’d bring back burning embers and that aura so it at least looks cool. But I digress. Demonology is amazing! In a way it is also a DoT spec. Except your DoTs are demons! And the rotation is just so simple, yet so logical. Spend shards to summon demons, and when they die they give instant demonbolts which give more shards with which to summon more demons. It’s brilliant!

So yeah. Not really a definitive answer for you. But some brain noise about them. Hope it helps.

Not if you make a little effort to be creative.

Right now while all 3 lock specs might be various degrees of not fun, you’ll have at least 1 spec thats viable in almost anything except for keys above 15.

With hunter you’re still not meta for high m+, but you have mostly 1 spec thats performing competitively.

If none of that matters, play what you like.

Warlock … nothing like standing in the open and delivering a beat down .

Even the most creative hunter mog isn’t as good as an average warlock mog. Just my opinion.

Kind of have to disagree with you on that.

I don’t know, I can transmog my felguards weapon to match mine. In fact he can use any two handed meele weapon.

Let me rephrase then…

If you like earth tone colored mogs then hunter is the class for you. However if you like a little color…go warlock.

I have both, and I enjoy playing on this guy more hands down. Summoning demons to my aid, a handful of colorful, powerful spells to use against my enemies. Not to mention I can summon in instance groups.

Hunters are fun if you like to collect Azeroth animals, and admittedly, that does have some appeal, but the overall fun factor for me ranks higher as a Warlock

I think overall warlocks are the coolest class to play, and one of the first decisions I made in WoW on Day One was whether to go hunter or warlock - and the warlock won.

I love both but hunter has never been what I’d consider a “main”. I do play a fair amount with my hunter, and I almost always level him to the current cap as my first alt to do so and always get at least some LFR gear on him, but mostly I use him to satisfy my need for collecting, in the form of unique or hard to find pets. With no new spirit beasts so far this expansion, I’m a bit miffed, though.

Hunter for survival.

Warlock for just a better overall class.
