You shoved Death Chakram in there probably because all you looked at was numbers and saw that a lot of hunters are playing Necrolord.
Only reason people are using Death Chakram is BECAUSE it applies Explosive Shot (cause of the leggo) and you can 100-0 someone in PvP with that combo. Before it applied Explosive Shot NOBODY played Necrolord because Death Chakram itself isn’t inherently fun, it’s a fire and forget meh ability.
Can’t believe you added Death Chakram in there (without even the Explosive Shot part) but didn’t add any of the other covenant abilities - which are ALL BETTER OPTIONS.
That’s so tonedeaf I can’t even believe any of the devs even played hunter at all.

Looking at the BM tree my fears for Shaman Tree are looking like it may happen.
BM tree is so spreadout, you can’t even get the same talents and passives as you can currently in Live with the current tree system.
This system will feel really terrible for Dragonflight as we just simply don’t have enough points. I don’t think BM can even get AoE and respectable ST with DragonFlight System.
Edit: They really need to just remove baseline abilities from the talent tree all together and just give us all those baseline. There is no need for any class to spend points on multishot, cobra shot, or bestial wrath. All classes should have their 1 big CD and all their core toolkit given baseline with no points needed to spend.

Tbh none of the classes should get covenant abilities. It’s just even lazier than what they’ve already presented. To say they half assed these talent trees is a major understatement.

I played survival Necro just because I wanted the mail set from Maldraxxis.
So… there’s at least one who did.
Death Chakram was … okay. More often than not I forgot to fire it off.

You can pick between Death Chakram or basic Chakram… So.

WoW. You can’t build a set-and-forget, one size fits all build with the new extended trees?
That’s like. Crazy. Why introduce choice at this stage? Why even have talents? Just pick a complete character from the startup screen like Mortal Kombat.

Life Chakram for the new hunter healing spec.

I’m not exactly a fan of the whole “having to buy back your entire toolkit as talents is fun and definitely not smoke and mirrors to make the trees look more full than they are” philosophy they’re designing around but I am glad DKs are getting to keep Slappy Hands.

Don’t worry they will listen…
At the end of the expansion.

This reasoning is why i’m afraid for paladin trees. I’m expecting ashen hallow because of how many holy paladins ran it in season 1 and 2 in pve

They did the same thing with Rogues. Sepsis. Fire and forget garbage most of the time. At least sub gets Flag though.

It is why I will most likely not even bother playing until a year into the xpac. Let them use public beta 10.0, 10.1, and 10.2 to fix the problems.

I’m not liking the new talent trees and we haven’t heard anything about glyphs or further customization? No borrowed power at all means these trees are what we’re stuck with…

I cant remember the interview (there have been so many) but Im sure one of them had a comment about not using glyphs, at least not the early Prime Glyph type. Maybe others can recall more.
Well… this sucks… it’s just what we have now but basically making us choose between things we could already get without having to make a choice… booooo
Also it’s STILL using the post Legion version of talents most people hate anyways according to the forums…
Not gonna lie, the one thing I miss was fleshcraft… that shield was handy as a replacement to Aspect of the Turtle.

I’m scared for my eke sham…
I was also surprised to see Death Chakram there.
It is a fire and forget ability. Super boring.
So is Chakram, the alternative choice, but at least that one has a nice visual effect.

Completely disagree. Some of the Covenant abilities are really fun, such as Slappy hands and Convoke.
Death Chakram’s just is not one of them.

IMO, I’d rather have borrowed power eventually become permanent than leave it behind after one expansion. I’m hopeful that this trend continues moving forward and that they don’t also abandon this new (but technically old) talent philosophy after DF is over. I’d like to continue gaining new abilities with each expansion, not simply replacing them each time.

I hate it too. But, if they changed that to Death Chicken, I give gold.
