Is it me or is it incredibly rare to find anything remotely resembling what a hunter would wear? I’ve gone with a “fel hunter” look for this toon, but my gosh it’s difficult.
Let’s see what everyone else has come up with!

Honestly, a lot of mail gear doesn’t look that great. For this mog I just went with GREEN.

Honestly, hunters should probably wear leather. Way more mogs feel hunterish

I don’t think I ever use a full set, I always mix and match to make something look good. I wish there were some high res toned down stuff for hunters. Some nice hoods, ponchos, singular shoulders, actual quivers, a ghillie suit would be great but I doubt that would ever happen. Yeah it’s a challenge to find some good looking hunter gear that’s not over the top.

My panda’s mog here is a bit outdated given I don’ really play him (he’s mainly my forum posting character).
There are a lot of dark/edgy hunter mogs I’ve crafted, but that’s mostly because my main is an undead so it works. Anytime I try going for a different look though, it falls flat.
There are some sets that work really well (the hellfire citadel sets and their pvp remixes come to mind) and some that are just hmmmmmm. Gotta mix and match and see what works for you.
I tried to achieve a hunter-like look.

I just faction changed Brick here from a long time Dwarf to Orc and while my current gear on him looks good, the faction equivalent alliance side just does not look good on a dwarf hunter.
Someone else said it before, but the Warsong as the hunter set seems weird, given that the Warsong were known as warriors. Closest you’ll get is a SV hunter in that regard. The WoD sets should have been account wide and not limited to an armor type.

as a vulpera hunter i usually just hide my shirt and pants because thats how god intended a fox to live

Edit: I realized I have the warsong bracers transmogged, those are a nice simple wrap

Eh, I don’t think it’s that bad. I just wish I could get away from this helm.
This is one of my hunters (1 have 3: Mag’har Orc with her heritage, Gnome with her heritage and this one… who refuses to have a top hat as a hunter.)
I like her mog - and generally I do feel that hunter mog sets can be hit-or-miss.
I do like the different iterations of the Vindictive Gladiator’s Chain Armor (also drops in Legion raids.)
Hardest of all IMO is bow mogs that I like.
They do seem to have issues figuring out hunter sets. Most of them come down to “apply raid boss to face and shoulders.”

This is the only thing I’ve come up with that doesn’t look completely terrible on this character.
We should be able to wear leather with 0 penalties. Heck, hunters kinda started in leather till 40.
Yeah, mail for archer types but c’mon, when I bow hunt I don’t wear mail. I wear quiet clothing. If anything, our pets should wear armor.
I like this set. I had more “huntery” looking mogs, but just think this looks good on a belf. The gloves with the claws give a nice fantasy hunter vibe. I figure the mail is because the prey she hunts is very dangerous and usually sentient.
