Hunter tracking but only PVP

Does anyone know if there is a way to only track say PVP targets and/or ignore PVE targets?

I like having it on when I’m in the world to help prevent ganking but if there are to many PVE targets around the minimap gets cluttered

If the API and back-end supports it, it might be possible to track units which are flagged for PvP. That said, I’m not entirely sure whether doing so would be allowed. The filter menu by the minimap, which handles all forms of tracking(not just for hunters) currently doesn’t display all available tracking types, only such which are “known” and/or are deemed suitable for your character.

When me + a friend worked on making scripts for macros to turn on/off unit tracking on-click/toggle, I don’t recall seeing any filter type for units with PvP enabled. There might be a workaround, but again, not sure if it’s allowed. For several reasons really. For one, it would be considered an advantage in combat(and out of), which isn’t allowed. And it would open up for the possibility of players other than hunters/druids to be able to track unit types which they shouldn’t be able to track.

TL;DR - I wouldn’t attempt anything like it, even if you could somehow make it happen.

There is an addon that removes tracked npcs from minimap. The icons are ohysically still there if you hover over them though

Yep, probably the best option. Despite how it would also display player units who don’t have PvP enabled as well, unless they found a way to hide those to?

That was my thoughts as well and my searches didn’t help (though my searching probably wasn’t that great by the looks of it) BUT it does appear:

Taigertraps was on the money and there is an addon called: HideNpcTracking or HideNPC
