10.0.5 is 2 weeks away and hunter basically have zero change except loosing double tap ,
i don’t like how MM plays since BFA , mostly play surv and some BM for 3s , can we get some change for hunters , we really need help , worst sustain/ healing , kiting is dead after cheetah (3min cd ) + freedom and turtle is a joke without trinket ( have to use it at high hp)
maybe bring back flayed shot for bm and surv , and lower the cd on our heal or craven on a 30seconde cd ( don’t really like craven but in this meta that every class has some heal or shield we are the only class without some sustain defense cause we supposed to be the kiting king .
MM feels like hit or miss based on how their burst goes but surv and bm feel fine tbh
I guess this week might be more rough for em cuz of ferals dotting their pets but then hunters also play with ferals so
also that’s a other issue , our pets dies without people even looking at them . hunters are not doing fine there’s 2 hunter in NA over 2400 in 3s
( i don’t look or care about 2s or solo these are arcane mode , blizzard is doing balance off 3s )
The dmg portion of bm is fine. Surv could be refineda sliiight bit but marks is the least enjoyable spec in the game to play. Marks and hunter utility + defensive needs the rework. All hunters should have scatter to set up their own traps
SS DRs traps so unless they work that out then it doesn’t matter too much? Unless you’re running steel trap, but for freezing it’s DR’d for awhile. If we could setup our own traps like that then we could guarantee a chain alone for too long. Scatter(Trinket?->Intim->Trap) Scatter->Trap(Trinket? Intim-Steel Trap->CS/Muzzle/Chimera) etc.
It would be far too easy, and classes can already set themselves up too easily. Like spriest fear->stun->tendril->volley, etc
I’ve shelved my BM in actual 3s for right now. Cupid cleave I felt like I was hitting like a wet noodle compared to my ret partner, ferals, warriors, DHs, DKs and any caster class (except mages).
It just wasn’t a good experience since the game is all about PvEing the enemy team down now. Setting up traps and using CC chains that take time to setup are kind of becoming a thing of the past with all the instant CC available to most classes.
I’m not even sure how they can fix Hunter at this point in the current Meta we have. I was having much more fun playing Ret/DH than Ret/BM Hunter though. My damage on DH kept up with my Ret and we had insane kill potential with so much instant CC.
I’d play Survival but I just don’t like the half in half out maybe I should melee, maybe I should run around using explosive shot/serpent stings. It’s just a weird mashed up spec to me at the moment.
the current version of MM is obsolete. having to stand still especially in arena is just asking to get one shotted. something has to change on that front. the times ive done 2s as bm feels decent. hunter is in a weird spot atm in that it’s just kind of well balanced…
Playing my little heart out trying to intim>trap, scatter>steel, keep pet mended,and position reasonably while doing like 20k then there’s the Feral or Ret just doing 60k and killing people by accident while kicking physical casts.
lmao thats what I’m saying. With all the GCDs I spend trying to lock down a team or kite for my life while ALSO making sure my pet doesn’t just melt and I insta lose when it dies is just a nightmare.
I feel like I have no pressure at all when I have to worry about all those things plus expend like 20 GCDs on abilities that don’t even damage.
Making Bloodshed, Chakrams, and BW off the GCD might actually help though if they could do that. This would allow Hunter damage to ramp up faster.
