I reached level 22 in hunter, got the Command Pet spell, but it doesnt do anything. It wont change to the different pet specs, and it when i click it it says “you cant use that right now”.
I think there is an unfortunate design decision or bug where you learn Command Pet before your pet is a high enough level to unlock their pet type ability. I can find other posts complaining about this pre-level squish, but a quick scan didn’t find something more recent so I could tell you when it should become available. And some pet types may have their spec ability unlocked at lower levels than others.
