Hunter slow

Can anyone help me understand why it seems like hunter slow seems so weak.

not saying the class needs it just curious, it never seems to stay applied like other slows

Hunter slow is actually pretty decent if you continue to apply it. Also as MM we can take a PvP talent that makes our slow even crazier. Not to mention sometimes I end up using Chimera sting to slow enemy melee.

But yea if you’re not MM the 50% slow from concussive isn’t too great considering most classes have insane gap closing abilities (minus Ret pally).

I’d say it’s more of a problem of melee specs having ridiculous gap closing abilities right now and not so much a problem of the slows Hunters have.

So few hunters even need to press slow to succeed so it probably goes unnoticed.

Interesting tidbit but Concussive Shot is extended by Cobra and Steady.

IMO they don’t even need a slow. They are already so oppressive flying around the map with tons of pressure and cc.

I could see it falling off for MM because most of the time MM will not cast steady shot unless they are completely focused starved. But BM absolutely should never lose concussive since Cobra shot is basically 99% of BM damage since blizzard refuses to buff Kill command damage and reduce cobra shot damage (dumbest game design).

Mm conc can fall off due to the lengthy cast time of aimed shot. You basically have to use every 3rd/4th gcd to reapply depending on when you’ll aimed shot, and also factor in casting pushback to not let it fall.

Steady shot is only really used when you really need focus asap to finish as you don’t want to risk pushback or a cc near the end of your cast letting the target be unslowed.

BM it really shouldn’t be falling off unless you don’t care about keeping it up.
