Why is my BM hunter only getting polearms and staves from wq rewards? Even my calling boxes gave me 2 staves? My lock and pally got a staff and 2h melee weapon.
My hunter has loot spec set to BM I don’t understand why, unless it is part of the cruel middle finger of gearing???
I guess it doesn’t matter I have less than 24h left on current token and will be quitting after that. This game is broke in so many areas it’s not funny and no longer fun for me any more.

As for the OP, WQs show the reward before you complete it – not sure how you can complain about that. Callings? I didn’t even know you could get loot, all I’ve ever seen are junk items or conduits for specs I don’t play.
Next time quote the whole sentence.
Yeah, I got a bow in my very first calling, and thought “oh neat, these bags have gear in them, THAT’S why the WQ gear rewards are such trash!” Learned I was very mistaken very quickly.
Also, really not sure why the callings feel the need to inundate us with piles of grey trash instead of just…you know…giving us gold. It’s just a needless conversion transaction. Same with anima. If it’s ONLY going to count for the 1000 weekly quest when you get it (and not when you deposit it) then there’s really no purpose to getting it as an item. Just automatically put in my bank, please, and spare me the needless busywork.

My tank pally keeps getting offered INT trinkets. My BM hunter gets 50/50 polearms/ranged weapons. It’s a little frustrating, yeah.
same. I have had about 5 polearms/staffs drop now and not a sniff at a gun or bow. Really weird. Might start running survival
Same with mine…feels bad. There is a 164 polearm up since yesterday. Would be nice to upgrade my 140 gun w/o having to run dungeons.

Yes I know for my lock it showed a staff and for my pally it showed 2h mace, my hunter staff. 
My BM hunter got only polearms and staffs in WQ’s for a couple weeks before I got a iLvl 158 crossbow upgrade from the 130’s. I have a polearm that is iLvl 171. Crazy loot! But it is all good.
Know this feeling as well, all I ever saw weapon wise on this monk was 1h int, offhand and int. staves. Even got a few offhands from the calling boxes. Finally a WQ with an actual agi weapon finally popped up.
Blizz really needs to do something to either make WQ themselves respect your current loot spec a little more or at the very least make the calling boxes respect your current loot spec like the caches did in BfA. It’s weird, the boxes were all over the place in Legion, they learned that lesson I believe in mid Legion, carried it forward into BfA then seem to have forgotten it again.
My friend who plays a DH never has this issue, but classes and specs with multiple weapon types can get royally screwed by this current system, while ones that either use a very small range of weapons of similar type or like Frost DKs and Fury Warriors who can make use of both 1h and 2h will have a slightly easier time.
