Hunter Requests

Just my views, not speaking for anyone else.

Please do away with ammo.

If not make it cheaper and add more more ammo tiers so we don’t need to buy crafted ammo. Hunters all ready have to pay to DPS, needing the mats and a crafter to make the ammo or buying from the AH just sucks IMO.

Also if we keep it can we have it so the quiver dosen’t take up a bag slot, losing a bag slot sucks IMO. I many times had to keep extra ammo in my bags, which lowers bag space even further. Pet food also takes up bag slots.

When taming a pet please have it auto level to the characters level. Would be great to have them level with us too. Leveling more than one pet can get old fast. I remember having one pet for screech and another one for a faster attack speed. Please do not normalize attacks speeds either. I liked having to decide which pet to get and hunting down pets with different attack speeds.

I actually do not mind the dead zone. Having to do some CC and use slows IMO makes solo fights more interesting to me.

aahahaha, enjoy your quiver mate. all love <3

Disagree, ammo is one of those things that makes it feel like an RPG.

Now I do support cheaper ammo and bigger bags

No, no, and no.

Ammo was an RPG element to the game. I don’t agree with the notion of removing it. Ammo was also very cheap unless you were getting thorium ammo which was expensive because it was player made.

As a classic hunter enjoyer i want to keep ammo, but i never got deep enough to realize we were supposed to buy crafted ammo.

Who makes it? Engineers? Should I plan on my hunter being miner/engineer instead of skinner/leatherworker?

Notice I put in some stuff about ammo other than doing away with it.

Engineers made ammo in classic. I assume it will be the same for Forever.

Notice, I didn’t read your wall of text on purpose.

Absolutely not… this would be a very anti-roleplaying game change, and hence would be very anti-classic wow in my opinion.

If anything they should make more of these kind of things on classes.

I had planned on going Leatherworker/Skinner but maybe I should be miner/engineer.

Or just find casuals okay with me just being worse and using whatever i can afford.

I’ve always been bad at gold making in WoW so i do everything myself Crafting wise. But i can’t farm thorium 24/7 to make enough ammo to last a raid or whatever.

Oh gawd no! A Hunter is one of the first toons I’m going to make, with Leatherworking, so I can craft my own ammo pouches. 4realz

Wall of text LMAO, it is like less than a minute to read it and is split into different sections

I mean, I don’t know how professions in forever are going to shake out, but engineer had good money making options in classic, such as making good ammo for hunters.

Congratulations. I commented on the part I felt like commenting on. I’m not required to read all of your post.

I am doing the same thing for quivers and ammo pouches. Plus the armor can be useful while leveling

Give us a fletching skill and let us make arrows blizz

This game needs more RPG elements, not less. It’s ok for a class to be unique, even if it means having to buy ammo like other classes have to buy reagents. Yes we lose a bag slot and some gold, but we’re probably the easiest class to level, can wield every weapon that’s not a mace/wand, and are the only non-caster ranged dps class in the game.

Same with hunter pets. I liked that in Vanilla you had to form a bond with a new pet via the loyalty mechanic and also level them up like Pokémon. If anything they need to expand on those systems not dumb them down or streamline them.

I like the loyalty stuff, I just don’t like leveling pets. IF one is a couple levels behind you they can have a hard time holding agro and I remember spending more time healing it.

I plan on leveling as BM and MAYBE swapping to MM lone wolf for raids.

That makes choosing your companion all the more important, and besides you have stable slots if you need to swap. Pets are a unique part of the hunter class identity. I was sad to see lone wolf make an appearance in Forever because of this. Not only are they eliminating a core theme of the class, but they’re also stifling the opportunity for another bow/gun/crossbow class in the future.

Engineers make guns, scopes and ammo  edit to add: and a bunch of other stuff!

I can’t remember, does anyone make bows? Guns are great on Dwarves, but I like bows for Troll Hunter.
