I am wondering if anyone can help me. I was watching some videos of hunters and saw that a few players have something (an addon most likely) that shows an icon in the top center of the screen that displays if the target is in range of your shots. The icon would show:
Out of Range
In Range
Long Range
It did not display the range in numbers but just if something was in range with a button with one of the text I listed above.
Does anyone know what addon this might be?

I use RangeDisplay. It shows a rough estimate in yards (pretty much like short range, medium range, long range). It also shows range on a specific target when you hover over them. The only issue is it doesn’t show anything if your beyond the range of auto shot, as I believe there is no way for the game to track this.
I use Shadowed Unit Frames, it has a range function. You can make the unit frame more transparent if it is out of range, I use it mainly on my priest so I know when a player is in range of heals. Works just as well for enemy targets though.
