WoD hunter was so massively fun, our utility and damage was so insane. I miss those days.

I used to be unique now everyone and their pets can lust :frowning:

My pets cute as hell. That’s all my team deserves.

(Something more unique would be nice, though. If only to give me another button.)

What, you don’t like being able to give people 5% leech for a few seconds when they effectively nerf leech with every raid patch?

My spider is a pretty constant slow. Our traps and slows. Stun. Soothe. Able to eat mechanics with turtle.

What kind of utility do you want?

Traps and stuns and soothe.

We’re an extra heal with a Spirit Beast.

You mean aside from, roots, slows, stuns, leech, knockbacks and mobile immunity?

Make Sporebat Great Again.

Just make Lust agnostic of pets and a raid utility debuff.

Give them a choice between Aspect of the Pack at 60sec cooldown. (60% Sprint for 8 sec) and Aspect of the Fox which is just a clone of Zephyr), but with a 3min cooldown.

They really don’t need much.

I liked when hunters could bring raid buffs/debuffs.

I understand back then we also had 20+ buffs/debuffs instead of the 9 we have now, and they want to not overshadow class utility.

So I think Hero should not require a pet and then let pets be a 3% version of the buffs/debuffs instead of 5%.

Hunters bring:

  • Misdirect
  • AoE slow
  • Single-target omni cc (works on any monster type)
  • Immunity
  • Mobile ranged DPS essential & unparalleled for many jobs (broodkeeper…)

We use all of these in Mythic raiding. If you’re not… might be time to get out of easy mode and raid Mythic.

Everything hunters had was eventually given out when they homogenized the classes further. Lust is shared now, enemy buff removal is shared, excellent pet utility gone (Hunters used to have Brez with Quilen/Stone Hound, but it was removed and now only works on the pet itself, among other examples like the pet raid buffs), Aspect of the Pack gone, etc.

The traps are pretty much all that’s left and they have long cooldowns. Misdirect isn’t unique since Rogues have Tricks of the Trade which works in an identical way.

AoE slows, I’m pretty sure a Frost Mage or even a DK can do a better job. Tar Trap and Binding Shot have longer cooldowns than a Mage’s Blizzard.

Immunity? I guess, but Turtle doesn’t stop nor remove DoTs, I have died to Rogues a lot in PvP lol (and would kill Hunters on my Rogue through Turtle, thanks to S1 Assassination double bleeds lol), but I guess that can apply to PvE too (dying to DoTs under Turtle).

Being able to move and cast is pretty much the best thing they can bring to the table (as BM spec only too), but if they don’t have competitive damage, you might as well bring another class instead. It’s a somewhat niche ability.

I was playing hunter earlier in DF, as they were fairly strong in S1. Ended up shelving him after a while, around S2, just because I felt the grass was greener lol.

They are a fun class, I just think they are no longer as strong as they were, both in earlier DF and in past expansions.

If I could get into Surv again, I’d still be playing it. Survival is still pretty dangerous, but many would rather just play another melee instead.

TLDR - Hunter has just been nerfed a lot over time, and is kind of a shell of what it once was, lol. Not a lot was given, but a lot was taken away.

This isnt the place to post stuff for the devs to ignore - there is an official feedback thread in the PTR forums specifically for posting stuff for them to ignore.

But your first point is…

Ok man.

I’d just like to be able to spec a pet into any role like we used to be able to do. Why can’t mechanical pets be tanks or DPS? I mean, all hunters are basically using a ferocity pet for everything now, cunning pets are rarely used despite having some of the coolest pet families, and tenacity pets are rarely used because they can’t take a hit.

The only times I’ve used anything but a ferocity pet in a raid or dungeon recently is when I knew we had a Bloodlust in the group already, so I used a spirit beast to help the healer(s) out when possible.

I’d much rather use a mechanical pet for my Goblin hunter, a mana saber for my Nightborne, or whatever themed transmog I’m using at the time.

And?

I’m so tired of ya’ll man, this community is so insufferable.

You were better when you were a goblin, because at least you acted the part.

Lust being shared = It being taken away. Bring another class that has it.

You don’t seem to realize when a class loses something unique, it loses a reason to be invited into groups.

Blizzard’s whole decision to bring Augmentation into the game goes back against their own philosophy of when Shaman were the only ones with Lust.

Anyways, peace. This next patch is not for me whatsoever.

WoW is too formulaic and dull, and everything to drag people along is cosmetics- there’s no fun gameplay ideas left.

Shaman got so screwed. No one should have lust but shaman.
