Hunter Questline for epic staff/bow

The recent change to hunter’s frost trap, is making the quest line of completing the Epic Staff and Bow near to impossible. Dying is understandable, but dying 10+ times due to bad RNG, and waiting for a rez timer, plus gear repairs to kill a elite demon, due to our “trap nerf,” is making the quest less seemly important to do. (yes I know its my BIS, but doing 3rd/4th on meters without it, is fine with a lot of people)

Any change to the RNG of the fights, a health pool change, or the simple dmg output of the elite demons would make it more enjoyable. FYI you can’t use a pet, you can’t have outside help, its a solo fight on all 4 demons. Most of us weren’t melee in phase 1-3, we’d play a rogue or warrior if we wanted to be melee.

Thoughts?

Skill issue.

This is a case of you being really bad at the game.

You deal 3 times the damage hunters use to… Maybe look up the mechanics instead of trying to just use frost trap(hint: that’s not how they’re all supposed to be killed).

You can cheese 2 of the fights.

lol @ complaining about the hunter quest as an OP SoD hunter :expressionless:

yeah bro hunter is messed…

Yeah not trying to be mean here, but this is literally a skill issue. I had 0 problem with rhok with the trap nerf.

Just look up the mechanics. Not hard at all.

I agree that frost trap needs to be restored back to trap launcher now that the actual correct PvP problem was fixed (entrapment)

Instead of flaming you unproductively like the rest of this cancerous sub, I will give you some advice. If you’re new to playing Hunter in Classic, this is far from an easy quest to do.

You don’t actually have to kite any of the 4 demons. You can freeze them in place, wait for your next freeze CD & and throw it a short distance in front, use 2x Chimera Shot then press ESCAPE to path it into the next trap. Rinse and repeat until dead.

This method might seem like it takes longer but the time you save clearing out a path of hostile mobs and dying is worth it.

Keep in mind that the Ungoro Demon has a dog. Freeze her and kill the dog, it won’t respawn. Otherwise, if you have a full melee setup, you can freeze the dog and melee burst her down while taking very little damage since she is a caster.
