For the first time since maining my hunter in BC till NOW I have never been so frustrated playing my hunter in PvP, the survivability in pvp is straight garbage I want to smash my screen when I am constantly locked down and snared 100% of the time, every damn ability I use to distance myself or defend myself is completely non existent, it feels like my stacked vers and 4pc drakes doesn’t do anything.
What’s really sad is I get on my alt fury warrior with peasant gear and I charge a hunter no matter the gear they have and I totally destroy them, its depressing how a handicap and brainless class like a warrior charges, keep you snared and you can’t do anything and I had to experience this myself and don’t even bring up dks, rogues, ferals etc… they just pop stuff and you die, turtle cd just prolongs your death.
Hunters in DF are good hiding behind trees, rocks and up on hills dpsing undisturbed until a single dot hits you. straight up trash of a class in DF and every other class just doesn’t appeal to me. mm, bm, survival all share common ground.
They took away pet leech healing the hunter in November which drastically reduced hunter self survival. Damage done by your pets will not heal you now.
The best legendary for hunter in Shadowlands wasn’t even a damage one. It was feign death allowing them to not die to dots, remove snares, and have a 15s cd. The loss of that legendary can not be understated. My hunter can’t fight a shadowpriest now regardless of the shadow priest’s gear.
yeah my friend, this is what I have been feeling as well.
but the problem is the lack of respect this dev team has for hunters, or maybe they are shut down by other devs that are higher in status in the company forcing the hunter dev team to keep hunters at bay.
sure mm hunter doing decent damage in M+ about top 5.
but when it comes to pvp, its truly garbage which makes no sense when you look back into other expansions.
pretty tired of it really.

I took a few years break right after legion came out and I am only subscribed right now because im farming some missed out things.
other than that, they won’t make money selling this bs to me because I refuse to accept first the disrespect and second the poor design the hunter class has atm.
some people on the forums really hurt by this.
some people saying they should just delete the class, of course they won’t do that, but I get their point.
point is, when it comes to making people unhappy Blizzard knows it all.
Their some pvper that say we are fine only need dps buff we ment be squishy or we be op but most people aren’t going to play at their level so i think they just need make the class easier to play and remove any unfair design in hunter class that might be holding us back.
That was literally the bread and butter for all petrunners, especially SV. I think SV benefited better from Leech than BM does because BM isn’t quite as “bursty”. But yeah dude, I want to say the Grinch took everything from that house and left nothing for the mouse.
The class is literally garbage, no change pushing glad with this like I was barely able to do in SL, this class dies in literally 2 hits, playing other classes, I DELETE hunters since their kit has no defensives
Its has a short cool down. 25 sec.
To remove all bleeds, disease and poisons.
The healing up for 30% is just a bonus.
Not that I’d complain mind you.

That’s at least a 4 point investment tho. That’s a huge amount for maybe some dps on a channeled spell. Pve sure roll in the bombs. But pvp it’s not good
Damage done by your pets never healed you. It always healed the pet instead.
What got removed was leech from Mend Pet; healing the pet with Mend Pet would also heal the Hunter because that’s how leech works: healing friendly target triggers it. Blizzard went in and made an arbitrary exception to the rule just for Mend Pet even though it wasn’t even that big an impact outside of solo play. Now we have this awkward situation where if the healer in your group heals your pet they get leech healing but you don’t when you use mend pet.

Leech is better for SV because SV’s damage profile is mostly from the Hunter, not the pet, so the Hunter would get most of the leech healing. Whereas for BM the pet does most of the damage so it gets most of the healing.
For BM it’s more sustained and of course they have Exotics too. Not that I was more correct in my take than you. And no doubt SV outclasses MM in that regard.
Hadn’t it been a strategy before to just phump and kill the Hunter pet? I think there was discussion on that before years back.
