Blizzard, I don’t know if it’s just a bug right now, but please normalize hunter pet attack speed dps.
If it remains that the faster the pet, the more dps it does, then that will mean that Brokentooth will be objectively the best PvE dps pet in the game (at least until ZG at 60, iirc the bats in there have a 1.0) and that feels terrible.
Basically, it will funnel every hunter on the server “ruleset” into trying to get a rare pet that is already infamously over-farmed for tames.

What does normalize hunter pet damage mean?
Do NOT normalize pet attack speed, it keeps the pets interesting and adds flavour to the hunter game

If they dont do roughly equal DPS why would you ever take a slow attack speed pet ?
True. Some people like them for spell push back, but personally I like faster pets to fish for crits…
it currently isn’t like that. Pets do roughly the same DPS, the faster attack pets are just better for PVP for against casters, but they miss more attacks, that’s the main difference. I think in general it’s pretty cool flavour for pets to have different attack speeds. I think they go even further and give pets like Lupos shadow attacks etc.

Probably just pvp. Slower attack speed benefits boar charge (+550 attack power on next hit + a root). Although levelling with a boar is fun since it has maximum time on target - with a psuedo teleport. 1 sec root is also handy for kiting.
A slower attack speed also benefits prowl (+50% bonus dmg from stealth). Probably just pvp again though.
Blizz added different abilities to the pets so you’ll likely bring the buff the raid needs. Blizz is going to have to add a lot more stable slots though to accommodate this
It’s not working like that in the beta. The faster pets are hitting as hard as slower pets and doing much more dps. This is why the topic creator is asking for the dps to be changed so that it matches how it worked in classic. They’re not asking for all pets to have the same attack speed, they want the slower pets to hit harder to make up for hitting less often than the faster pets.
