Hunter pets too weak?

i remember pets being able to solo people in the 20s-40s, not even as BM spec but here it cant seem to literally do ANYTHING. It chips off .5% off people’s health bars over a 10 second interval

Max abilities are trained, at lvl 33…even going against lvl 25 targets(priest) they just shrug it off like nothing. If even a lvl 25 healer is involved, forget about it.

I dont think spell pushback also works because healers just seem to cast their heals without a delay

Get a better pet?

Priests can talent to ignore 75% of pushback in the first talent tier of Holy, so thats not saying much. And if you aren’t BM your pet loses a lot of potency, it matters. Thats like 20% less damage, 15% crit, a loss of a 30% attack speed buff, and the loss of a 50% damage increase for 18 seconds.

Thats a massive difference. Your pet is not, and never was a force without BM spec unless you had one of the broken pets that did elemental damage instead of physical. But those were all patched out by 1.12.

This honestly sounds normal /shrug. If you want your pet to solo stuff easily, then spec for it.

Classic pets aren’t nearly as good as they become in TBC. Even as BM they lose aggro (unless you have their claw/bite off and in that case, what’s the point?) and they’re incredibly squishy even when trained with stam/armor/resistences.

They’re kinda’ meh.

And yeah, spell push back is broken.

I noticed them sucking too.

They’re terrible but not as bad as warlock pets. Only way you can have a functioning raid pet is using something tanky and being BM

pre-60 levels are wonky. Some classes have power spikes at certain breakpoint levels based on talents and when they get new spell ranks

A BM talent pet is definitely going to be harder pre-60 for a player. But I don’t recall even pre-60 of a BM spec pet being able to solo a player by itself, even with a level advantage
