[Dire Beast Whaleshark]

In the link above I have a picture of a Dire Beast that is a whale shark. Why can’t I tame this as an actual pet in the game? Why is it that a dire beast can be an untameable pet?

I want answers, more specifically, I want the ability to tame a whale shark.

Make it make sense!

I think it’s because dire beasts are not tamed pets, and are animals in the wild that have answered your call for help. So you sometimes end up with animals that are too strong willed to be broken. I have no idea what I am saying, I just thought it’d make me sound cool.
