Hunter pets question

So for BeastMastery hunter, do all pets scale to 120? Like if they tame a lvl 1 Rabbit or some other critter walking around in Drust, does it scale and fight for you? Sorry if dumb question, Never played a hunter and I just read that all tamed animals scale.

Yes, they do!

It is no longer a requirement to level your hunter’s pets. They will always match your character’s level when they are by your side!

Also, Mend Pet is no longer channeled and Hunters moved to energy instead of Mana!

So at lvl 120 you could literally go tame a lvl 1 Bunny Hippity Hop and it turns into a lvl 120 killer? Now that is too cool.

Here is a link you might find helpful, I poke thru it once in a while. Just have to take the spaces out.

You cannot just tame a run of the mill little non combat type bunny, or any other “basic” animal, like a bunny, or rat or grasshopper…it has to be an actual animal like a pig, wolf…here just check out petopia . com…that shows all the animals you can tame, and some you cannot.

Nevermind on me linking it - Littlefella beat me to it. lol

(Edit to say You can tame a pet up to your level, and it will scale up to your level. If you’re max level, well, it just scales up to you. You cannot, however, tame a pet say you’re level 20 and want a level 50 pet - it doesn’t work that way, you have to be at or above the level of the animal.)

:sparkles:

Sadly, you can’t tame critters. The only bunny available is the mechanical one that spawns in baby Gnome land - and you need the scroll to tame mechanicals (unless you’re a Gnome or Goblin).

There is a mechanical squirrel in baby Goblin land… but he’ll kill you unless you follow the guide for how to tame him. I know from experience lol.

Yes it is. I used to hate having to drag pets through low level zones to level them. I do miss feeding them though. I liked that.

I still carry food I can feed mine…and use often, esp if my Exhil is on cd, get too impatient to wait on Mend Pet and just want that instant 100% health. lol I’ve always done it - even if it isn’t something that is “mandatory” for hunters to use anymore. I hold on to some of that old school immersion!!!

I like that. I am going to start that too when I am on my hunters. Thank you for the idea.
