ETA on any nerfs coming to hunter pets? specifically in pvp

At this point, sounds like user error…pets/Hunters have been nerfed 7 times.

Player : " Doctor , is the shot going to get worse ? Ouch, you’re hurting my arm ! "
Doctor : " I haven’t put the shot in your arm yet . I am just cleaning your arm . "

Blizzard has to be careful when adding nerfs to both PVP and PVE since one affects the other. The nerfs knocked hunters down in PVE and any further PVP nerfs would just drop them more.

Currently Hunters are what under war, rogue, and feral in PVE? So I’d say they are A tier in PVE. I would put them as S tier in PVP currently. They probably need some slight tweeking but this close to P2, I think it would have to happen after players hit 40 with all the new runes.

They can’t fix your childish ignorance, either.

Eyes of the Beast has unlimited range and allows a Hunter to sit safely across a zone while sending their (still overpowered) pet out to PvP. It’s not a matter of ‘getting good’ when you’re a full BIS 95+ parsing Warrior tank that gets 4 shotted by a dragonhawk. It’s bad programing on part of the devs, but 2 of the main devs main Hunter.

They also all play Alliance if that’s any indication to how the dev team looks at ‘game balance’.

Hunters have been using Eyes of the Beast since Vanilla . Nothing really new here . New players are the one crying over it .

Maybe it’s not the pets needed to be nerfed , but the Hunter’s talent " Eyes of the Beast " probably needs to be nerfed . Now i am starting to understand why some players crying about pets are being too overpowered .

I wish more ppl would realize this. All I see on this forum is “hunter this, hunter that” but the blame resides at the feet of devs. Failure to test, failure to understand the mechanics of a class, pigeonholing power into one rune, etc.

this, but for every perceived community-issue SoD has. all comes down to bad design. turns out a lot of people don’t like vanilla.

it’s also why change is good, allows us to fix things before the 75% can exploit. not that i like retail, if i want to play mini-game eternal ill go DL harvest moon or animal crossing or something

I would agree that Eyes of the Beast should have a shorter range limit (currently 50,000 yards). As a warrior both in tank and dps specs I don’t have issues killing just their pets but they can get me down to 50% sometimes if they get lucky crits. It’s a double edge sword for them though cause I have caught hunters using it and got the jump on them and destroyed them because their pet was off somewhere.

IMO the horde has just as many hunters and are stronger than alliance hunters. The alliance does not have an advantage over horde outside of where the runes where this phase. That being said Horde has all the advantage in P2 and beyond. This argument seems to usually come from players that are Alliance heavy servers or ones with weak Horde PVPers.

You’re right . Fix the problem before Hunters becomes BM . Most players ( especially new players ) have no idea what BM hunter will become in the next phase . Some of these BM hunters will become monsters like myself . These players have no idea , but they will find out .

or even a second more hilarious hypothetical involving a stealthed cat with intimidation & BW active. a mini rogue!

the consequences are going to be hilarious for the 5-year olds playing toons on both sides of the issue

so you are bringing a pve spec, with pve runes and complain about getting killed in pvp
