How do you all name your pets? Is there some meaning or pattern you use? Mine are quite simple, it’s something like:
Isles of Giant pterrordax - “Pterrordax”
Uldum alpaca - “Alpaca”
Stranglethorn monkey - “Monkey”
Southern Barrens girrafe - “Girrafe”
Blackrock Foundry Faultline - “Faultline”
Isles of Giant Oondasta - “Oondasta”
Stormheim Bulvinkel - “Bulvinkel”
Don’t judge me.
I made a Vulpera hunter earlier because I wanted to see what a certain set would look like on them out of curiosity.
Named the snake “Snoot.”
Didn’t delete the character afterwards because of Snoot but I don’t like hunter gameplay so…
I also at one point had a spider named “Twitchy.”
I just give them random names most of the time. And keep names with space or special character.
I’d hate to be your pets OP. What boring names. 
And before you go snooping around in my stable. The only pets I use are panthera’s.
Most of mine (that I use/used) are named with firearm terms.
Gnome… hunter… engineer… couldn’t resist.
Bob, Bobson, Mcbob, Bobby, Bobnator, Bobicus, Bob Mcbobson, Bobnamyte, etc.
I usually name mine in pairs because i use the BM double pet talent. Like for example, my two Dragonhawks are named Dusk and Dawn.
And if i’m not doing that then i’ll just give the pet a cutesy name like Snuggles.
On my main they are named after abstract concepts like “Hope, Joy, Chaos, Divinity, Wrath,”
… on this character they’re named after foods (mostly deserts!) like “Tatertot, Cheesecake, Muffin”

I have a fox named Zorro, obvious reasons. Spirit Beast Bear named Jerauld. And a cat named Empress.
I usually name them something to either give them a little personality or some sort of pun/joke name based on the type of animal. For instance the two pets I use these days because I’ve decided to take the two pet talent are a black Thunder Lizard named Skum because I wanted to tame the boss in Wailing Caverns but I couldn’t. And a black snake I named MambaNoFive as a pun between a black mamba snake and the Lou Bega song Mambo #5.
Yeah my Devilsaurs are named as George, Jake , Denver and Sherry 
I give my pets joke names. Especially on my BM Hunter when I can have the names interact.
2 coursers named Clip and Clop
A Goat named Totes and Yak named Smak
2 Zombie Bears named Harry and Barry
A Pig named Trump and a Goat named Biden
2 Bushtail Foxes named George and Jeb
2 Raptors named Chris and Pratt
I have so many ridiculous names just ready and waiting to be used. It’s a bit fun in an otherwise pretty boring spec.
My main hunter’s pair of fire scorpions are Snippity and Pernickety. An undead hunter has the large gold armored undead dinos called Riff and Raff.
The regular spirit beasts tend to have the same name across all my hunters, so Skoll is Red, Arcturus is Chubbs… the boring cats I never use keep their original names.
I don’t even bother, what am I supposed to name the dino that’s obviously Oondasta? “Oondasta”?
Snakes are either venominroll, noperope, or dangernoodle. I try to get pets that represent different loa so it usually has to do with that. I did name my alpaca alsmackya
I name them after my rl pets <3 My cat I call Moo so one hunter has a cat called Moo one had my dog Zoee. Other then that I make up names even some of my battle pets are name after my rl pets as well Sharnie my last cat that died of old age had a good life tho she was 21 years old which cats don’t normally live that long miss her so much.
