Continuing the discussion from This Week in WoW: February 5, 2024:
Did you stop in to feed them?
Iâm sorry, what? That link seems to have nothing to do with this thread title.
Pets donât die in the stables, but if you havenât summoned one since you leveled or since a level/stat squish, it will probably come out at low HP.
And to add onto this, I donât think pets ever died in stables, even back in vanilla. Putting them away was essentially freezing them in time.
That thread is still open tho.
Thatâs how the Hakkar blood plaque was spread into cities, lol.
Someone dismissed mid-combat and resummoned outside the raid.
Funnily enough, someone in SoD hearthed mid-fight while being targetted by Kelris in BFD, and brought raid mechanic outside the raid into the world, putting players into an uncontrollable sleep-state, unable to interact with stuff.
Chaos ensued, it was great to behold.
I guess history really does repeat itself.
I lost 35 pets that were supposed to be in the stable being looked after only to find over 35 pets were missing - wow says you have to care for your pets. Oh I see I am supposed to go through each pet to make sure they are on full health and then worry why they are in the stable?
Has anyone else noticed their pets are dying out and their old old pets are now gone? just wondering if I am the only one who noticed.
Thanks,
Ruk
I donât understand why you linked a This Week in WoW post that has nothing to do with pets.
Is this for Classic? For Retail? What? Have you tried a full UI reset to make sure that itâs not a display error? Have you asked in CS? Anything??
Has to be trolling. Iâve mained a hunter since wrath. I think I am up to 10 separate ones across retail, classic, and sod. Never ONCE seen or heard of pets dying while stabled lol.
So I say trolling, or as you mentioned, UI error.
my pets ate a boulder and next day i check in and no more pets.
OP is having a seizure it seems
If its classic, you cant have 35 pets.
If itâs retail⌠the only pets that have ever really gone âmissingâ are pets that were abusing exploits⌠But even then, most of those were just reverted to a non exploty state.
Some pets were also removed because of unintended looks, but again, most of those were just model swapped with something that Blizzard prefers people to have.
So going off of what youâve said, it sounds like you had some exploity (but fun) pets that were prob taken off your hands.
Iâve only got like a dozen spots left open in my hunterâs stables. But Iâve literally never âlostâ one outside of those that I purposefully abandon to make room for different pets. Thereâs no issue any time I go to take one out that I havenât used in a while.
I gave my Worgen chocolate, had zoomies for days and then kicked the bucket suddenly!
I have not done anything different - i visit my pets every 3/4 days and have taken them all out and they are still losing health alot of the hunters i have talked to are also losing their pets. First I want to apologize for jumping in on this person but I wasnât sure how to start a subject so thatâs why I did what I did. Now, this subject of my pets dying in the stable - itâs not only happening to me. It is retail, and this has been going on for months, I have wrote tickets over and over and I was told to put a post in here also I was told that the game masters do not handle this type of problem and that I should write them to the Dev team which I did and included screenshots of my pets with different health lines thank god I caught one of my pets from dying and was able to revive my pet. Again, this has not only happened to me. You have to put your pets in your bags to see if they have lost health you can not just see it by looking at them in the stable.
I have been playing this game for over 14 years and this is the first time this has happened and I was hoping to hear some other hunters about their pets⌠oh and by the way, I had this happen to all my hunters not just on one server. Also you really shouldnât be so ⌠aggravated because of the way I interjected my subject in here I never was here before and wow game masters suggest I put it to you kind people. Thank you for reading this and trying to help. Once again I apologize for imposing myself into this area of the forum,
Ruk
You need to move your thread here:
The General Discussion forum is just for chit chatting about WoW and leaving feedback. What youâre experiencing sounds like a bug. I have like 20 Hunters all to level 70 and none of them have pets dying in the stable.
Like I said:
If you stable a pet that died in combat but you never revived itâŚyouâll probably have to do so once you take it out again and try to summon it. But otherwise, the health of the pet in the stables doesnât matter. They will automatically adjust to whatever health theyâre supposed to have based on the hunterâs level/gear when summoned.
At first I thought this post was some sort of trolling, but nowâŚnot so much.
I just went and called up a whole bunch of my pets that I havenât used in some time, and every single one of them had low or under full health. And I know for a fact that I did not swap out any low health pets.
So it appears that something odd is indeed going on with hunter pets. Iâll have to investigate further. I suppose its possible that some of them were tamed at a lower level and have adjusted their health, but some had very low health (like 8%) and they just werenât that old.
I called up one on my level 70 hunter that I had used within the last couple of weeks, and it was at 5% health. And Iâd changed it over in Valdrakken when I got back and went to the mount NPC dragon. It was at full health at the time.
Iâve put in a bug report about it.
Ok I just checked both of my hunters, and while my active pet was fine, the pets I hadnât summoned in awhile were all at 10% health. Not a huge deal, just had to hit mend pet. Dismissed and summoned again, now theyâre at full health again.
