Hunter pet Nameplate

On my hunter…whenever I go into an instance, my pet’s nameplate displays. It never displays anywhere else, just in the instance.

The only way I can get it rid of it is to uncheck either Enemy Units or Enemy Units->Minions in the game settings. But, obviously if I do that, I can’t see enemy nameplates.

Why is my pet showing up this way? How can I hide my pet’s nameplate, but still show enemy plates?

Also, are other hunters seeing this? or is it just me?

Thanks in advance!

Same thing happens to me except everywhere. My pet nameplate always shows even if I turn off friendly nameplates and set friendly pet nameplates to not show:

/run SetCVar(“nameplateShowFriendlyPets”, 0)

Does nothing.

To get rid of it, I have to disable enemy pet nameplates:

/run SetCVar(“nameplateShowEnemyPets”, 0)

Which is definitely a bug… and now I can’t see enemy pet nameplates.

They don’t want us to play with name plates. Why else would they restrict the distance to a mere 20 yards?

Just disabled all of them and you’ll be better off.

Noticed this as well but only after installing a nameplate addon named Plater. When I uninstalled it and went back to the default nameplates I noticed my pet’s nameplate was showing. Not sure if its directly related to the Plater addon but I shouldn’t have to uncheck " Enemy Units -> Minions" to not see my pet’s nameplate…

Sounds bugged. All hunter pets start as an enemy, maybe they forgot to code the name plate as friend after its tamed.

Any Locks having this issue?

Can confirm that I do NOT have this issue.

I’m not sure if I never encountered this issue or if I’m too huntard to notice it…

Probably the second one.
