Hunter or rogue?

Coming from warlock main I would like to Alt one of the mentioned classes.

Please help me by providing some advices. Which one Is better at:

  1. Pvp?
  2. Pve?
  3. More fun and more engaging rotation with better mechanics (your opinion)
  4. More mobility?

I say hunter because beast Mastery is very simple to play in PvP and PvE

Plus you have a legendary bow you can get a chance at

Think of beast mastery as your warlock but you are able to cast your spells while moving

BM is so boring it’s painful and it’s awful in PVP unless you hang in the back. Marksman I was rocking with but the irony was that BM out DPS in both pvp and pve probably from the mind numbingly easy rotation.

I did a rogue back in the day and had a blast. I tried one in current pvp and people are so geared you get obliterated. Seems rogue is pretty good on the pve side though. Too each his own I guess.

I typically main the hunter.

  2. Hunter. You stand away from all the crap. That alone makes it better than any melee class.
  3. Hunter. You run around and jump all over the place pewpewing.
  4. Hunter. Specially BM Hunter. Best mobility in game.

God, I love BM hunter.

Its not worth using. Cobra shot and barbed shot spam does more damage.

Is that so? I don’t PvP, so that’s good to know if I ever do. :slight_smile:

Yeah, and then you run venthyr for 15k+ kill shot procs out of nowhere while spamming 6-8k+ cobra shots nonstop.

If you like ranged go hunter if you like melee go rogue. Hunter and rogue have enough abilities that I would dare say give you more or less the same quality of life game play when traveling. You’ve got vanish/feign death, camouflage/stealth, traps/cc, turtle/cloak of shadows, both have a movement speed buff and another mobility ability with shadowstep/disengage. I actually feel like mm is a ranged rogue. BM, subtley and assassination rogue are doing great in pvp. Hunter is a fan favorite so you will always be viable in pve. Rogue has 3 dps specs so at least 1 is most likely going to be viable in pve. If I were you I would go hunter because you can name your pets and that adds to some more personal game play😀

Not mention that surv hunter is a fun melee rogue spec with pet

Hunter is great for solo gameplay where rogue to me seems more of a team class character.

Pretty much this. That’s what I do on my hunter, I wander around places and listen to music and tame pets, and I might hit time walking up or do low keys with a tank friend. My rogue and monk i am pushing actual content trying to climb ilvl.
