Hunter or DK

Hey guys, I was making this post because I’m kind of stud deciding between death knight and Hunter it was causing me to struggle to depict between these two classes is that I like both classes equally, but I’m not really sure which one would be more beneficial to main in the long run and usually the content that I do is usually mythic plus and heroic raiding to wanting to do mythic raid one day, but I do have a group of three friends who played a tank, a healer/priest, and a melee dps but when they’re not on, I usually just pug a lot when it comes to the content that I do.

Level them both, and main the one you enjoyed leveling the most.

Ret paladin is the proper choice.

MM hunter is insane in heroic right now. Decent in m+.

Even with the nerfs, DK is still better than hunter in keys. They’re a decent bit worse in raid.

Ideally, go with the one you like the most. But if you pug alot, I’d probably go DK still.

My 3 this expansion have been
This toon MM Hunter
And.

Heya I played a DK most of this season it was pretty fun. Tho I did reroll to Paladin.

Helps prog to be able to multi-role.
Hunter is good, but you’d want to be in an active guild to land more ‘dps needed’ groups.

MM is fun and very mobile, easy to play and good dps but lacks some utility only MM seems to be popping off atm seems surv and BM are bottom tier.

DK has tons of survival, great dps slow but tons of utility and awesome mog and a desired tank spec. Frost is mid and Unholy is very good dps, absolutely insane AoE.

You also save gold on weapon enchanting because you enchant your own with runes. That imo is a plus. I been messing with DK playing both blood and Unholy and can say its a blast.

MM Hunter has really good burst damage and its mastery is really good for staying at a distance. It lacks desired Utilities that effect the raid, but makes up for it in AoE CC.

Death Knights, if you can get past the cringy-edgelord, is slow, but tanky. Anti Magic Zone is a good raid utility and DK’s have a battle rez.

Probably in Dk so you can swap to tank if you need to

The Dk mogs that is what makes me keep my four Dk’s around. Technically I would have ten, but I had to clean the house in preparation for the remix.

LOL I was looking at my character on my delete list and every character I did in mop remix got deleted lol. I guess I really didn’t care about keeping the characters I just wanted the transmogs

Yeah, I am pretty bad about that myself. Spent all that time leveling up one of each only to sit and delete.

Yeah when I started realizing we were going to have more remixes I figured it was a bad idea to start hoarding those characters LOL

Personally, i prefer hunter for world content and solo delvs, but DK is great for group content.

You can always roll both and keep the DK as your main with friends.

As a MM Hunter, I don’t bring a ton of utility to raids (Hunter’s Mark, unlike in S1’s raid, works on every boss instead of having a boss where it is entirely useless) but we have some niche uses! Tar Trap is great against mini monkeys during Cauldron and I can roll back coins in Bandit while remaining in range of the boss so it’s a very minor DPS loss.

We have a good number of mobility tools but you will need to root yourself for Aimed Shots outside of TS windows. For optimal performance you may need to do so during some dicey AoE moments, know what you can and can’t get away with.

DKs are handy for mass pulls and are real hard to kill, just in general, but they are slow moving. Since a lot of LoU is high mobility there are times where you’ll be plodding around at moments where you really don’t want to. They do have some neat utility and on-demand, unconditional CC options as opposed to traps. You can also tank, which just isn’t a thing Hunters can do for more than 8 seconds.

Ultimately whatever one you like more, but both are doing pretty well overall!

Plate has hands down better mog over mail

Im a bit biased as you can see but Id go MM Hunter. Very fun to play and quite powerful.

I really enjoy the DK. It’s not as mobile as a lot of other classes but its sturdy and pretty easy to pick up. It’s pretty good in all content. And if you like skulls on your armor sets look no farther.

Devs know hunters exist

Devs only remember DKs exist when they accidentally break them

Choose wisely
