The meme has gone too far. Idiot’s like Asmongold and others who barely played vanilla who know no better take it seriously. Just watched Asmons raid get a Core hound tooth drop. Rogues weren’t interested but Hunters were (It’s Hunter BiS in this phase) he refused to give it to a Hunter and instead gave it to a fury warrior.
Hunters need stats as well, we can’t just wear whites and still contribute to raid dps and we shouldn’t be limited to tier gear, ranged weapons and last pick on BiS melee weapons.

Truly could not give a hoot about asmonwhatever; however, it’s his raid. Blizz’s philosophy on the matter is if you join a raid with an established Loot Master, then loot is distributed as to however they see fit.
Do not like this? Then do not join the raid.
I’m assuming this had absolutely nothing to do with you, so I’m not entirely sure as to how one incident equates to the every day life of an average WoW player. Enlighten me if I’m wrong?

The fury warrior will actually use it more than a hunter will long term.
Hunter is for Lok’delar and Rhok’delar.
Hunters are pretty much last on melee weapon priority in MC just like Priests are. Priests get Anathema/Benediction, Hunters get Rhok and Lok.

I’m talking about the broader community, using Asmon’s decision as an example. He represent the mindset that I’ve noticed that is becoming the majority.
Also Dot your the problem. Why because it can only be used by Hunters? It’s not BiS and not every Hunter can obtain it. It’s actually much worse. Core hound tooth will be very temporary for the fury warrior… it’s literally a “oh well if no one else wants it, it will do for a week or 2.”

First stop watching and supporting that POS Asmongold and do you expect anything else from a waste of life? He got to 60 so fast because he was feed gold and items by his followers. He would still be leveling to 60 if he had to do it on his own. Far as the loot goes, It’s the hunters fault for joining Asmongolds group, he should of known Asmon would give the better loot to his personal friends or paided subs

Sounds to me like you’re worried about what a hypothetical situation which has a chance to come to pass, but will not if you make it a point to find groups who agree with your loot philosophy.
Drops could be a real nightmare in vanilla, who knows how long that warrior may actually have to use that dagger.
I remember Ony not dropping Judgement helms for our raid for about five months. Sure, us Paladins didn’t need it, but we wanted to look cool.
I agree, just wanted a classic fix before i get home from work and the Mc raid intrigued my interest. Hunters have as much right to that weapon as any other class. It’s BiS and it’s not like it’s a tank wanting it for more threat or some other crucial role within the raid… it will give the warrior maybe 10 more dps… maybe.

A Hunter rolling on a melee weapon for stats is the same as a Warrior rolling on a bow for stats. Priority goes to the class that will get more use out of it. It’s not a great Fury weapon, but it was probably a significant upgrade.

No, because every hunter is going to get it when(not if) they get their Rhok’delar. The difference in performance is minor between Lok and 2x 1h, so if I’m a raid leader trying to maximize the performance gains to my raid via loot distribution, hunters go last on melee weapons in MC.
This isn’t about individual character benefits, it’s about the raid.

Except Fury wants a strong offhand, not a fast one. Also BiS should take priority over a sidegrade.
