I’m also new to class hunter . I find hunter easy to play. and I find it difficult to play because I like close combat. According to everyone, is it easy or not compared to your preferences and strengths and weaknesses?
If you like close combat I recommend an enhancement shaman or an arms warrior.
Hunter is very easy to level, easy to play with lots of room to master.
If you like being at the top of damage, play a hunter.
If you want to slap the boss’s ankles, go melee
If you like melee combat than hunter (a ranged toon) isn’t your huckleberry.
Try: rogue, warrior, feral druid, something-foo-foo shamen.
the hardest part about a hunter is having to go to a vendor to buy arrows.

Hunters are easy to play but have a high skill ceiling in arena at least.
Imo, I find hunter to be easier to play compared with other DPS classes. Unlike rogues and mages, hunters don’t seem to have to deal with debuffs as often. On average their pets can also heal back the damage that they tank faster than eating food. The only downside I can see to levelling with a hunter is the monotonous play style.
What about new players?
Hunter is easy to get the hang of, hard to master. Anyone can shoot back and spam steady shot. The real skill though is knowing how to time steady during various haste levels and knowing when also to use other abilities than steady to maximize dps.
