So the new idle animations, why are they only available in combat?
The normal, non-combat idle animations look so bad.

Just rightclick a nearby critter behind you and you will be in âcombatâ and use combat animations
Idle animations mean idle for a reason. Iâm not sure why anyone would be standing like that while just casually standing around Stormwind with angry face ready to kill someone.

I just took a look at a YouTube video of other races with the animation, and some of them didnât look very good trying to do that pose.
I mean if you pull your weapon out, what else are you getting ready for?
The standard non-combat idle animation just looks so lazy and very 2000âs
The point is, you donât have to be in an angry battle stance 24/7, when youâre casually just walking to the AH and to your mailbox.
It looks fine with the races in the picture, but some of the other races I saw using that animation just looked really bad(ex. Gnome, and Worgen with crossbows).
For example, this is how Worgen would look like(taken from a YouTube video as the source) 24/7 with crossbows if that was their default animation.
Plus, even if they did put them in as non-combat, theyâd have to do work on it, because it just looks really goofy/stiff when you try to run in these poses.

The angry has to do with the face primarily - look at the faces in the picture you posted. Theyâre all scrunched up(except for the Nightborne), giving the stank face. Plus, in the current idle animation, theyâre just holding their weapon casually, unlike the one you posted where they have their hands in a âready to pull the triggerâ position. Itâs a lot different.
I edited it in last minute, but those animations look very stiff/un-natural when running. The whole upper body is stiffed out. It would be very weird to run like that all the time.
Is is that hard for Blizz to change the facial expression when in combat or not, and just have a natural face when not in combat but keep the new idle animations.
Also, âeveryâ game out there, be it MMO or just an RPG, your character will go into the âreadyâ animation when unsheathing your weapon, regardless of combat status.
And the animation looks even worse with a crossbowâŚ

So why canât blizard give us an /atready loop animation. Not just for hunters but for everyone. The two handed weapon in both hands with a decent animation, same with one handed weapons. Of course bows/guns/crossbows as well etc. Its very RP but whatâs it hurt to be able to pose and maybe take a screen shot or two of your badass character.
