I think I’d rather have Survival be turned in to the first ranged tank spec. Where most of our abilities center around mitigating damage and managing aggro to our tank pets.
But what I really want is old Cata/MoP/WoD survival back. if they wanted to give hunters a melee spec, they could have given them a 4th spec that centers around melee.
Engineering already has Healing Darts, Pump-Action Bandage Gun, Spinal Healing Injector, it even has ways to rez people like Ultimate Gnomish Army Knife & Disposable Spectrophasic Reanimators.
This is very plausible. We really need Survival as a healing spec.
“this ridiculous melee spec” while its one of the most fun playable rotations in the game, way more enjoyable and way more damage than the other two specs. Hunter baseplayer doesnt deserve this spec lol
Better idea: just brign back deterrence with its two charges/give us two aspect of the turtle charges (and remove the inability to fight) and maybe decrease the 12 focus rate on exhil refresh to 6.
Survival Melee was and still is an abomination. It never should have been implemented and has always been a trash spec. Just because it does more damage right now (which will probably change in a patch or two) doesn’t justify its existence.
At least a healing spec would give Hunter’s a lot more versatility and would be fun to play, which Survival is not. I would prefer they reverted it back pre 7.0. That one was really fun to play.
