Hunter Griefing

How can the devs see no problem with unlimited range Eyes of the Beast allowing a Hunter to hide safely across a zone and send their pets out to PvP + collect honor with 0 risk to themselves or their pet?

Unlimited range but not unlimited time. It’s a 60 second duration and just about every class can CC in some way. Just CC and walk away.

I’m pretty sure you can recast it with a macro and you can keep upping the time without resetting your pet just like how you can with the eagle eye macro.

I don’t know I haven’t tried it tho because I’m not lame.

That is hilarious. But I will just reiterate to just CC it and walk away. If people can’t kill the pet, it’s the only other choice.

Absolutely can. A guildmate of mine has been bragging about it and collected about 200 kills yesterday. Solo. Without firing a single arrow. He’s currently trying to organize an entire raid to do this. Can you CC 10-40 pets by yourself?

line of sight ends it. just cc pet behind LoS, then walk away and get some sun.

this is a skill issue

can you counter this hypothetical possibility that reinforces my stance?

Ah, yes, because there’s so much terrain to LoS behind when mobs and players literally shoot and cast through wholeass mountains or trees that look like they’d hide a Buick.

v funny actually i chuckled.

but it does sound like pvp happened on a pvp server. the playing field will b more level next phase and you wont have to deal w hunters using the epic bow to grief then

Can you cc 10-40 players by yourself?

Heh, yes, but like, then they just do it again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

The other day in redridge a hunter was wall-walking up to the top of the mountain, out of bounds of most players, and sending his serpent to kill questing players. I found him and killed him but it took like 40 minutes of trying random walls until I found a path that worked.

I feel like at this point it’s on you to roll a hunter and start to figure things out for yourself.

No one seem to cry over 20 years about Eyes of the Beast until today .

Sometimes, despite behaviors like that, you have to be impressed by that level of commitment to degeneracy.

All I can say is that people are going to find ways to do something to irritate people. And as you just demonstrated, a PvP problem had a PvP solution.

Not sure if Blizz is going to address this in a way that satisfies people. Look at how much nerfing they did to Hunter already and people STILL are upset about them.

Lmao. 40 EotB win serpents would be one of the most degenerate and hilarious things to witness in this game.

I hope they stream it.

Haha, I totally agree, I mean the guy’s a jerk but I sort of admired the whole thing in a way.

Anyway I’m not necessarily advocating for changing anything but you gotta admit, I went above and beyond what you would from most players, reasonably :stuck_out_tongue:

True, but also, pets are very different today than they used to be :stuck_out_tongue:

As someone once said, intervening when you don’t have to is the essence of being a hero. People appreciate that more than they hate the degeneracy of that hunter, I assure you.

I take pride in finding the hunters and corpse camping them.
