Can someone explain to me what addon or macro/script hunters are using when they Feign Death and make it so you are unable to click on them? I know Feign Death drops target, but in some instances with certain hunters after they FD I click on them and it instantly un-targets and does this multiple times until they resume from their FD.
there’s nothing there really.
Feign Death removes target, that’s all it is. rest is just user error on your part somehow.

Fixed everything when fighting hunters.
I know FD removes target. I stated that originally hoping I wouldn’t get a somewhat useless response that you just gave me. When they are FD I am acquiring the target by clicking on the “dead” body, but the problem here I am having as stated in this post beyond “user error” is that something is actively not letting me re-target them. I click on them it de-targets I click on them again it de-targets. Until they resume back.
Does anyone understand the issue here or have experienced this? Please don’t reply with how mechanics work or class abilities I know how they work and main a 60 hunter(This shaman is an alt) And have played this game for a very long time.

Try turning off all your addons (if you have them)
If this solves the issue, then re-enable your addons one by one until you find the one that triggers the problem and then seek an update or if you know how to make your own addons repair whatever is broken.
If you do not have addons running then “Cut” and move both your WTF folder and CASH folders to a safe place and WoW will automatically replace them.
Go test under the new condition and see if that works.
If not, you can always put your CASH and WTF folders back, and obviously re enable your addons.
I tested vs a hunter in a duel on my mage, I have no problem getting back on target, but this does not mean things are different in World PVP vs opposite faction or that there are some Faction specific shenanigans, that I do suspect exist in WoW classic due to some questionable quality in code.
Go test, its the only thing anyone can do.

It doesn’t do that. It’s either your addons, macros, or you are not clicking. So yeah it’s an issue with you.
