A lot of smart hunters here. Anyone knows how dw dmg is calculated? Knowing what to look at will help us ninjia bis weapons
You get 19% miss penalty and offhand damage is 50% (before dualwield rune). Is that what you meant?
It’s only one part.
Lets say mh weapon dmg 100, 2.7 sec
Oh dmg 80, 2.2 sec
Ap 420, means +30dps.
First question, white swing, do they get normalized? And do off hand gets +dmg from ap?
Second question. Raptor strike with dw rune. You attack with both weapon.
But rs is basically a swing + bonus dmg.
So dw rs = mh swing +rs dmg + oh swing +rs dmg. Or rs = (mh swing +oh swing)+ rs dmg?
That will give big difference to the result
White swings are not normalised. For a while, Raptor Strike wasn’t either but I believe it is now.
The formula for a normalised attack is the following:
damage = (dps * speed) + (ap * n_speed / 14)
I believe the benefit from Raptor Strike is applied twice, but I have nothing to back that up.
Thx and do off hand swing get + dmg from ap?
They do, but the entire offhand attack is subject to the 50% year offhand damage penalty.
Yes and raptor is calculated for each weapon swing. If you go DW rune then you get 50% more oh weapon damage. Thats weapon damage after calculations x 0.5 x 1.5.
So say 300 damage x 0.5 x 1.5 = 225 damage. Or 75%.
Raptor strike bonus damage is added before % based modifiers also.
So I remember raptor strike adds 80 dmg to a swing.
In your case off hand raptor strike dmg will be (300+80)x0.75=285. Right?
Yeah basically, + any other modifiers, like lonewolf & flanking strike stacks & dualwield rune (this is being removed on 27th).
So with lonewolf and 3/3 flanking you’ll be.
(300+80)x0.5x1.5x1.3x1.3 = 481.65 and if they didn’t remove the DW modifier 481.65 x 1.3 = 626.145.
Alright question what is the miss chance on Raptor Strike when dual wield with both runes, because I was helping my friends with the Dark Riders runes after I got them done on my hunter, and I was doing this at lvl 37 which for melee 37 attacking a 41 I should be barely landing anything. But going into melee and just hitting flanking and rs anytime they were off cd was better DPS than ranged and I feel like majority of rs’s were hits like it was a normal mob.
I’m a truck driver.
So in theory dw will always do more dmg than 2h as dw gets +80 rs dmg on each hand. That is 80+60 extra dmg. Where 2h only gets one +80 rs dmg. Except oh might have that -20%hit
Miss chance is 9% for abilities (on a raid boss which is considered 3 levels higher than you)
It’s actually only 9% miss chance for abilities on raid bosses / mobs 15 defence skill above your weapon skill.
9%miss? Is it only for oh, means mh hits better, maybe 6,7 %? Or it’s 9 % for mh as well?
I got the epic head now. Back to 2%hit. I do see a big difference on mobs level 43.
The 19% dual wield hit penalty affects both hands and only melee white attacks, Raptor strike flat bonus damage only apply once, not twice when dual wielding.
Does it not apply to both peoples as both hit for a raptor strike?
I think it does actually, I didn’t realized Raptor Strike is hitting twice with dual wield specialization.
I think that rs dmg on each hands makes dw always a bit more dps than 2h. Even without 30%dmg prebis right now, wsg sword + rfd sword do more dmg than the uld doom axe.
