Hunter dps

So I’m currently playing my BM hunter and he is item lvl 335 and I’m doing around 8-9k on average sometimes dips around 7k. In the beginning of a fight I hit around 10k. I attached my raidbot sim to see if anyone can help me with this in case I’m doing something wrong. I know when I level my gear up it should be a lot higher but at the moment is my dps where it should be. Usually in raids I’m normally around 6-7 in dps rank out of 25 people but it jumps around all the time I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I’m seeing people stay consistent 1-4 in dps all the time but I go from 5-12 bouncing back and forth is that normal? I have 2 +40 gems for haste on 2 of my items. My crit is 21% mastery is 32% and haste is 11%

Linking you raidbot sim will not tell people much on what you doing wrong and need to improve. The raidbot sim is just a indication on how much dps you should be doing with you current gear if everything is at it optimal condition,
Do you have a warcraftlogs link? I try to find you on warcraftlog and the search came up empty, warcraftlogs will give people a better understanding on how you doing on rotation and movement wise.
Sounds about right to me tbh, in real situations you’ll probably do around 2k less than your sim.

My sim is about 14k, and I’ll open the fight with about 16k and slowly drop to around 12/12.5k as the fight goes along.
It is normal to start off higher dps in a fight as BM then dip down. Your dps abilities are on cooldown. This is true of most dps classes/specs.
My suspicion is that Frenzy does not work as advertised. Currently I have Feeding Frenzy which states that Frenzy is extended for 9sec. However if you ever look at the buff when you fire Barbed shot, it is only for 7sec. That is huge. I can only state what is happening on the screen.

Frenzy is a pet a buff. You need to check the buff on your pet to see if the duration is extended or not. I too run with this trait when I play BM and will check when I get home to see if frenzy has an extended duration on my pet.
One thing I despise about wow's handling of the combat buffer is how the hunter's pets info isn't represented anywhere in the buffer.
