Hunter deadzone

This was removed in 2.3 so being as they plan on using 2.4.3 as a base for their frankenpatch, is it reasonable to expect the deadzone to be gone?

In retrospect, this seemed like bad design. But playing around the deadzone in Classic added some good mechanics. Do you believe this is something they would revert to its pre-2.3 stage as part of #somechanges?

Now I think this is one of those things that most people would just be happy to see go I know when I talk to most hunters they hate the dead zone.

And I know every single hunter that I ran into and the burning crusade initially really hated it.

And we’re overjoyed to see it leave so I think it’s better just gone kind of like spell batching.

And the original PVP system It’s just better that they’re gone

They’ve said they’ll launch with 2.4.3 talents, abilities, class balancing etc. The only major stated exception to 2.4.3 so far is raid boss health.

Presumably this means no more deadzone for hunters, mage food tables, a certain % spellpower on healing gear, the xp squish, and so on.

The deadzone was a HORRID design.

“We’re planning to shrink the min range on ranged attacks to reduce or eliminate the “dead zone”. The only point to the dead zone was to ensure the min range on ranged weapons was enough such that ranged weapon attacks wouldn’t be used while also being melee’d (at least by mobs… players have a bit of slush built in).” ` Kalgan

Of course he doesn’t say why the deadzone didn’t allow you to melee either. It was just a really bad design and they realized it.
