Is it any question hunter is the most OP class? Ever since I started playing wow hunter has always been pretty much OP across the board. Did blizzard intentionally design this to be the baby class?
No? Hunter is rarely OP. It’s the most played class because people like pets, and it’s strong for solo players who never group. Constantly OP classes would be rouge/mage.

Nah , they are just player friendly and more in demand because of buffs + utility.
It’s defiantly a good class for new players but I wouldn’t equate that as OP

First hunter is in 10th place. Beaten out by rogues, priests, DK, DH, warlocks, even a monk. There are other metrics of course.

Apparently you’re playing some crazy alternate universe.
The only time during the last few expacs where Hunter was on Top was the end part of 8.3 where corruptions allowed them to do insane damage with Beast Cleave as Beast Mastery.
Without corruptions, that is no longer a thing and we’re back to being middle of the pack.

They nerfed rogues atm mages meh but rogues in dumpster almost feel bad.
Rogues still top DPS in raids and Mythic+.
Hunter now also have a killshot, like they needed it
Yea doubt that I been watching them get demoed by trash wq rares and in pvp.

The forums would already be rioting if BM ever dared to be good in PvP so no, not OP.
We have one 30% heal and a shield that takes us out of combat and barely heals us, we also are vulnerable to stuns which when using a Ferocity pet means no heals or damage. We’re at best glass canons, even mages can deal as much damage while also rotating in a few shields while not going out of combat. If you can’t beat a glass cannon, that’s sayin something… Now spirit beasts do amp our survival capabilities quite a bit, which is why I camped Ban’thalos for WEEKS as the only owl with heals, I regret nothing…

Been trying it on PTR, it’s not THAT much of a difference, since it usually only activates about 1% of an NPCS health left, a kill command or even autoshot usually does just as well by that point. barbed shot into bestial wrath with beast cleave and thrill of the hunt though, that’s a nice sustained damage loop. Haven’t tried it with barrage yet but if the damage buff applies to it too, that’s a good AOE reaping right there…
