I am curious “Animal Companion” is it worth it and will it provide more DPS? What are your thoughts?

More damage? No, in fact if you want MORE damage either of the other choices will just naturally provide exponentially much more damage unless you choose stomp down the list, which is actually the most encouraged choice since Barrage takes a brain to use (without pulling everything) and Stampede hasn’t been useful since the beginning of Legion. The damage being sheered in half for both pets isn’t the only thing either, healing/leech is also halved.
Even if it’s not pick it anyway two pets is cool

AC provide more overall damage while killer can be picked it not great until 35% left on mob.
I like KI over AC as I don’t like having two pets but AC not the end all talent that must be pick. AC like at most 200-300 increase over KI. Sure that hit harder but that like 2-3 seconds off a time.
Animal Companion is the best.

If you pick a ferocity pet AC will dillute the advantage of the 10/15 (if talented)% leech to your pet. That can affect your pets survivability in Torghast and other solo situations where that leech can help keep your pet alive. That second pet dillutes the effect of the leech, making your primary pet heal itself for less.
Icy-veins and other sites recommend KI for that reason.

I chose heroic because there’s more parses, 170k vs 7k in Mythic.

A large part of being a Hunter is the cool factor, of being flanked by pets that you’ve gone out into the world to find.
I like it for… Well more pet options.
Far as dps overall not certain.
I imagine stomp later down the line combined with animal companion would up dps in general.
And 90% damage reduction on Misdirection.
Me, either. I feel awkward having 2 pets out at the same time, maybe the exception of a gnome hunter with 2 dinosaurs 
This two. Combined with the leech power and mashing mend pet on c/d, your pet should be able to withstand it.
