Hunter--- All 3 specs,need help immediately

In 9.0.5 ,Hunter’s 3 specs are now bottom specs in the Raid.
And only Marksmanship is in the middle of the Mythic dungron, other 2 specs have no advantage .
And in PVP(3v3) ,there are no hunters in the top 100

1. The whole dps mechanism is defective , no linkage between skills, burst skills which has 2min CD have no sense of existence
1.1 Marksmanship
1.1.1 Stationary period dps
There is a fixed cooldown for both Aimed shot and Rapid shot , it’s strange that the cooldown of Aimed shot is reduced by haste, but the cooldown of Rapid shot is fixed at 20 seconds.
Limit of two long time cooldown, stuck the dps.
And Aimedshot , Arcaneshot has been NERF by 5% in 9.0. OMG…

Strating from the 8.0, there are many problems in Rapid shot.
First of all ,this ability will pause the hunter’s auto shot. But many of the hunter’s buff need to be triggered by Auto shoot, which greatly reduces the practicability of this skill.

Aimed shot , this skill also receive 70% armor reduction and cost 35 energy, it’s DPE(damage per energy) only slightly higher than Arcane shoot , far lower than highlight Arcane shoot.
In the stationary phase, it’s just a trigger to highlight Arcane shoot.
Its damage doesn’t match its 12 second cooldown and 35 cost !!!

1.1.2 Burst dps
The problem is more serious. As a 2-minute cooldown skill (True shot), the overall improvement of the hunter is very small.
True shot provides more Aimed shoot , although the energy recovery increases after opening, it still can’t keep up with the cost of Aimed shoot and Arcane shoot.
If you want to consume all the Aimed shot in Trueshot, you will waste a lot of highlight Arcane shot. In turn, it will lead to the waste of Aimed shot.
There is another serious problem in the Trueshot
The casting time of Aimed shot has been reduced by half, but the GCD of Aimed shot has not been increased in the same proportion.
Example:
The casting time of Aimed shot is 1.25 seconds, but the GCD is 1.5 seconds, so the actual casting time is 1.5 seconds, which results in a reduction in the effect of the Trueshot.

1.2 Beast Mastery
1.2.1 Stationary period dps
The main damage skills(Kill command) of the Beast is not added by WeaponsDps(Wdps), which leads to the huge problem in the value.
At present , the damage of Kill command is eaqual to the Corbar shot , the Kill command is a 7.5 seconds cooldown skill !!!

1.2.2 Burst dps
Aspect of the wild only provide critical hit rate and energy recovery. Combined with the problems(Kill command) mentioned in the previous chapter, the extra energy can only deal low damage skills.

1.3 Survival
All the skills of Survival Hunter have no linkage. It is just even if you press the keyboard according to the skill cooldown. There are also great problem in the overall value.

2. Legend equipment has a small boost to DPS, no compensation for Snake Trick’s NERF
2.1 Marksmanship
2.1.1 Serpentstalker’s Trickery
In 9.0.5, the number of Wildsprits was directly reduced by nearly half, resulting in the overall DPS of Markship becoming featureless and mediocre.
Especially in Mythic dungron, Markship can rely on 2minute cooldown’s Wildsprits and Trueshot provide burst AOE and deal with high-intensity monsters, but now this set of DPS mode has been greatly weakened.
This greatly reduces the Markship Hunter’s position in the Raid team and Mythic dungron.

2.1.2 Surging shots
There is a big problem in the design of equipment, Aimedshot has a 15% chance to reset Rapidshot, but Aimedshot has a 12 seconds cooldown, so it is hard to use such a low trigger rate
In addition,there is no charging mechanism for Rapidshot, and it often occurs that the remaining cooldown of Rapidshot is 5seconds, but it is reset by Aimedshot.
This problem is particularly obvious when using Trueshot, every time Aimedshot resets Rapidshot, it’s a waste.
Now this equipment only has one effect that increases the damage of Rapidshot by 35%.

2.1.3 Eagle focus
Originally enhanced in 9.0.5,it can become another choice for Markship hunter in single targer combat, but it still lags 2.8% behind the SnakeTrick(version 9.0)
But why do you call back the original enhancement so that this equipment is even weaker than its version9.0.
This call back makes Markship hunter only use Serpentstalker’s Trickery.
It’s not coooooooooool at all !!!

2.2 Beast Mastery
2.2.1 Soulforge Embers
Due to the low skill value of Beast Mastery, all its exclusive equipment is weak.Even though it has been buffed in 9.0.5, it still lags behind the Ember in theoretical value.
And in 9.0.5, a lot of players have given up using it ,because it’s really not easy to use

2.3 Survival
I don’t know where to start , the improvement of every legend equipment is very small

3. The damage reduction ability is week , unable to resist the high pressure environment
The damage reduction ability of all hunters is very fragile
The only major damage reduction is a 3minutes cooldown skill.(Aspect of the tortoise). But it can’t eliminate the damage of dot, there are countless examples of death after skills are turned on.
What’s left is a 3-minute cooldown and 20% damage reduction. What the hells is that.
Finally, a 2-minute cooldown that provides 20% regeneration
Compared with other classes’ resident injury reduction skills and passive survival skills ,it’s too fragile.

4.Suggestions for changes
Hope designers can pay attention to the existing problems of Hunters
Hunter is a DPS, we are not a pet catching career
From 9.0 to 9.0.5, the gap is too big ,there is no new BUILD for playing, it is boring on the whole
Continue to use the original BUILD, the dps is weakened too much ,there is a great sense of frustration

4.1 Suggestions for Markship
4.1.1 General skills change suggestions
BUFF the AP coefficient of Aimedshot, Arcaneshot, Chimerashot
To solve the problem of Autoshot pause in Rapidshot, the cooldown of Rapidshot is related to haste attributes, and buff the AP coefficient of Rapidshot
BUFF Trueshot, provide additional damage buffup , just like 7.0 and 8.0 . When use Trueshot the GCD of Aimedshot also needs the same scaling

4.1.1 Legend equipment change suggestions
Serpentstalker’s Trickery : Change back to the mechanism that one Aimedshot triggers two Wildspirts
Surging shots : When equipped , the charges of Rapidshot is 2 layers, so that the reset effect can be fully utilized
Eagle focus : Change it back to 50% energy consumption. Increase the time of Trueshot by 5 seconds. Combined with the Trueshot enhancement mentioned above, let the single target DPS of Markship have one more choice.

4.2 Suggestions for Beast Mastery
Let the Killcommand enjoy the bonus of weapon dps, otherwise there will be a big problem in the later growth of the Beast Mastery.
Aspect of the wild need to refer to 8.0 provide mastery attribute bonus

4.3 Suggestions for Survival
I don’t know much about it, it is suggested to buff skill damage.

4.4 Suggestions for damage reduction skills
Hunters need a resident damage reduction skill
It is suggested that the Aspect of the tortoise have 2 charges

I can’t agree any more.
Now there is no reason to have any hunter class in any mythic or raid because We will be a burden on the team.I feel so sad. :persevere:

This is not accurate. Casted abilities are not technically on the gcd, so with 0% haste, the recast time of Aimed Shot during Trueshot is 1.25 seconds. This is because casted abilities by their very nature of being casted can’t be spammed in the same way instant cast abilities could be spammed given enough resources to do so, so do not require a GCD to throttle them.

Please do not. Buffing us in other ways to compensate for the damage lost by WS to make us not reliant on a single point of failure is a much better option, and it would make other covenant choices better.

Turtle does not need two charges. What turtle needs is

  1. To have it’s CD cut down to 1 minute or 1.5 minutes

or

  1. Allow us to continue to attack.

or

  1. Remove all negative effects

or

  1. Some combination of the above.

Whole heartedly agree Hunter’s need some serious love. My personal dream list would be something like:

  1. Our MS is tied to our main attacks and not a pet (i.e. Aimed Shot or Kill Command).

  2. Mend Pet is undispellable and Pets take 30% reduced damage while Mend Pet is active.

  3. Update our CC. For example, Spriests have gotten Mind Bomb. Mages have Shimmer and Ring. Rogues got Subterfuge, Duel. These alternative forms of CC ensure a class can deal with diverse situations. I’d like to see something like a Freezing Arrow PvP Talent that replaces Ice Trap. Open to other suggestions, but if Trap doesn’t work in this insane burst meta, I don’t see how it will ever have a great place again.

  4. I’d like to be able to shoot my precise shot procs while casting Aimed Shot. I hate wasting these.

My 2 cents.

I think Freezing trap is fine as it is but having it DR with Scatter Shot is really annoying. If they reduced Scatter to a 2-3second CC but made it not DR with trap it would be better.
For the Precise shot procs, they only “go to waste” during Trueshot, some people find it counter intuitive but it’s not that bad. Just think of it as a different rotation during your burst window.

As someone who enjoys soloing dungeon / raid bosses, this would be incredible.

Also it would be nice for PVP too.

Don’t. That was a bug and bugs should be squashed. If it wasn’t fixed, you likely won’t get buffs that you might want to get later.

I could get behind 2 or 3. Especially 2. But as for 1… putting it on that short of a CD opens up to many cans of worms for cheesing fights, and would make encounter design a nightmare.

I would argue that there is no indication that it was a bug fix. And no indication that Blizzard is not OK with the current balance of specs.

It’s amazing how they spend the time fixing a bug that brought the one viable hunter spec to the bottom.
They can’t seem to figure out how to fix any of the many bugs with BM pets in dungeons or raids though.
Better give fire mage another buff though or maybe balance druid this time…

Bm hunters really need an ability that teleports all their pets right next to us on a short cd.

Also a 30% health buff to pets for pvp would be nice

I’m stealing these from GW2, so who cares. I’m not saying any of this is workable, but it’s interesting to look at it anyway. Rangers… They have a long range shot that increases in damage the farther you are from the target. They have a shot that grants temporary stealth when the target is hit (weird, but interesting) – not sure how this would work if it dropped you out of combat though. I mean in situations outside of PvP. They have a ranged shot that has a knockback effect and the effect of the knockback (the size of the knockback) is determined by the distance from the target… the closer you are to the target the bigger the knockback. This could be baked into Concussive Shot to make it insane… j/k of course. And they’ve got an AOE slow (or cripple).

Please don’t bring ranger’s LB into this - it’s the most despised pve weapon, it’s a noob-trap and is extremely poorly designed. I’d be extremely grateful if we could keep idiotic designs of GW2 would stay as far as possible from idiotic designs of WoW, this isn’t math, two negatives will not result in a positive.

Sure, okay… I didn’t PvE in GW2. There are some specific things that look appealing as possible MM shots, that’s all I meant.

Even when it comes to PVP - Longbow is a crutch and a noobtrap, literally the easiest weapon to counter in an entire game, a “one-trick-pony” so to say. And in pve it’s despised for the ranger mentality of staying outside the stacked group, not giving/recieving any boons and doing mediocre dps as a result. The only thing I could agree on would be the LB’s 4 - Point-Blank Shot that knocks enemies away from you, I would take it instead of our Bursting Shot in a heartbeat, althou we kinda had Powershot back in WoD (I think?) wich kinda did the same.
